Is this liner too high? should I exchange it? UPDATE

ontariorat1liner.jpg

I ordered the same knife, mine just arrived today, and its 100% like this.

:(

So the verdict is that its okay?

Its just a $30 knife, but I have $7 Chinese SRMs which are better, so I thought this one would be nicer, since for me Id consider it to a really good knife, not a disposable SRM.

Or is this how the Ontario Rat-1 is supposed to be, ie its within specification to be over that far?

Other than the I really like the knife, BUT its a nagging feeling that within a week or so it will be all the way over and just wear away more. :(

One final question please, if I bought a more expensive knife, say $100 are the tolerances on the liner/knife tang "better" or can expensive knifes have this issue too (too far right/late?)

Thanks...(I live in Canada and ordered from Ebay so I cant send it back, and I dont want to be picky if its supposed to be like this...)

So I got an exchange and the knife is perfect. I say it was worth $5 to send it back.

Just wrap some thin aluminium foil around the stop pin. I did that with my SRM 710. At that price point, not worth it sending back ..

Chris, you got me. This is the most insane thing I think I've ever read on this forum. :D
