Is your most expensive blade fixed or folding???

fixed blades, I have a bunch over $100 including swords and khuks. I don't use folding blades as much so I spend less on them, my most expensive being a spyderco endura or kershaw blur.

Fixed.

A tie (or very close in price to each other) is a Randall Fireman and Trailblazer.

most expensive folder would me my emerson custom CQC13 and fixed blade would be my mad dog SEAL ATAK2.

most expensive that i own? my rat hest, but i traded for it. most that i've payed for? my poliwog was around 70 shipped i believe

Was going to say folder as well, but then I remembered my 1st Gen. Swick. NOW that was expensive compared to the folders.

Fixed. Scrapyard Dogfather. Forget exactly what I paid for it, but it's the only knife I've paid over 200$ for. Traded for some worth about that much but never outright bought.

Gotta say I love the knife. Gave it a thin, convex edge and it chops great. Very happy with my purchase and would consider a Battle Mistress or another Dogfather sometime down the road. I think the one I have will last a long, long time though. :)

A folder. I think I would regret investing a big chunk of change in something that gets very little use or carry time. I'd love to carry around a Dozier or a Randall, but a Sebenza makes more sense for me 95% of the time.

I've spent way more on folders, but it's been mostly in quantity over quality. My most expensive folder being a Ti JYD SG-2 with a STR lowrider on it. Following that would be my RAM that I had new scales made for and a Grip Clip installed. That bumped the price of the RAM above $100.

Most expensive for me was a Ka-Bar TDI, fixed blade. $55. Not really expensive by BF standards, but its the highest for me at this time. In the future though I'd probably spend more on a folder than another fixed blade, I get more use out of them.
