Keith, It would be a great honor doing a collaboration with Don but.......I received a flat bar of W2, I profiled, rough ground, applied clay and sent it to Don for heat treat. He sent it back and I finished the knife.
Never made a knife blade over 6" mainly because I originally set up shop to make folders, fixed blades came a few years later. After getting some much needed repairs done to this old body I'll tool up for bigger blades.
