It followed me home (Part 2)

Actually ITVD asked about the axes prior to me asking about them. He's looking for a connie to i think. If he wants it he should have first refusal. Right?
If he's not interested depending on price and dimensions I'm pretty sure I'l take it if it's still available. Thanks!

Thank you for being so very considerate! At this time, I’ll hold out for another one. I do want a nice Connie though, please keep me in mind!

In eight days I'll be looking for a TT Connie. There's a nice one you know where right now for quite a bit of money, but not bad for the site. Except I just spent $200 on a pocket knife so my edged tool fund is definitely spent for the month. . The one on the auction site will be gone by then, I'm sure. But I always have a weather eye open for a TT Flint Edge Connie. This is a must have for me, just waiting for the right piece at the right time.

Emerson Stevens about 3.5 lbs. It has the W stamp in front of the eye and 55 date stamp under the pole. The bit is in great shape, the pole will need some work. The 29 inch handle is super thin, possibly original.

Looks original to me.

The deep belly and big swell say 'old handle' to me. And it looks good enough to be rejuvenated with BLO.

Anyone want to guess what this axe was made for? (It used to have a rubber handle.)

Hint: it was a military use.

To be honest the epoxy in permabonds really turn me away from them. Idk why they just do. But this one was the right price and it had the BSA stamp so I got it. Isn’t it funny how when you find something you have never found before you all a sudden find more? Well I have never found a BSA axe before and about a month or month and a half ago I found one. Now this one is the third I have purchased. Crazy how that happens. Thanks for lookin!

If only I could say the same for Old Yank's.

Two for ten bucks. No extra charge for the rust! The roof leaked, and the dealer didn't feel like taking the time to clean them up. True Temper Perfect with phantom bevels on a Craftsman replacement haft with almost no damage and nearly perfect grain (and a few carpenter's nails thrown in at no extra charge!), thirty-six inches overall, and a Craftsman with the haft sticking out the wrong side of the haft (I guess that's for chopping on the back swing??), measuring thirty-five inches, the grain not so perfect, but I may reuse the haft, anyway. I'm hoping I may find a few more marks when I do some more cleaning.

Seems logical, but the Craftsman haft is already shaped for the Perfect, so it will be easier to rehang with the haft with which it has been paired for what appears to be a long time. There is plenty of shoulder I can make use of for a re-fit. If things don't go as I predict, I may switch the Craftsman haft to the Craftsman head, if the eye is the right shape and size.
