Almost ready. I used 3/8" flared copper for the pins. The handles are black garolite, with extra thick red liners. Still need to finish the sheath.

Now I am super excited to get that puppy in my hands!!

I have to email you to see if you would be interested in making a baldrick (not sure if that is right spelling) for my DBH.....to match the sheath for the XD XT.

That copper looks darn good against the black.

So the question is...will you be doing flared tubes on a regular basis (on request) now John?

It will be an option, but only on micarta, garolite, or G10.
 
Yeah,it sucks putting all the time in on a wood handle & then have the flaring operation crack 'em.
I learned that lesson with my first time rehandling on a Marbles machete.
 
That knife ROCKS! Oh my aching pocket book. Maybe the overtime will hold-out long enough for me to get one of those this year. Definitely have to put it on the list for next year if not.
