It was bound to happen sooner or later....... :-( Lost A Sebenza

Wow man that freaking sucks! Good luck, hopefully it's just sitting in a box somewhere and you'll get to it one day.

At the very least if it is lost forever I hope whoever finds it realizes just what a special knife it is and treasures it and not treats it like some $5 gas station knife. I know it sucks to think about but if it ever happens to me I hope someone that deserves it and will respect it is the one to find it and not some kid or junkie or something.

Wow horrible news. It will turn up. But you had me really scared it was our beloved "in god" which some day I hope to get back. Hold on to her tight. Your dog paws will turn up my friend.

That sucks, but having read a good number of lost knife threads many show back up. Hope you are one of them-good luck.

Thanks for the overwhelming support. I do hope I find her. I do believe its just misplaced between my ex wifes house, the storage unit in totes or here at the apt. I am still in the process of moving stuff, so hoping she pops up. The fact that its a large 21 silver dog paws makes it even worse. Going a little crazy brainstorming where it may be......lol

i lost mine too tore the house up looking for her for months. and then after months went by i knew she was gone, being this was too fine a knife to live without i got another. years went by and then one day in the pocket of some jeans that i used when painting low and behold she popped up. now i have 2. my things were all went thru and everything cleaned up and organized ,plus now i have 2 very fine knifes to pass on when the time comes. all in all it was a good thing, so look , clean and if she dosnt show get another and maybe one day when your least expecting it .......

I did some more looking today and nothing popped up. Now I am beginning to fear she is really lost lost and not just misplaced. I hope my story ends like many of yours has where it popped up out of the blue....!!!

Sorry to hear about your sebenza.... Maybe amongst all the moving and commotion. It ended up some where like you are hoping. I have my fingers and toes crossed for ya man

Update :-( When I realized I lost my Dog Paws, it was after Christmas. I had visited family in a galaxy far far away. Well this weekend, I was able to get back there. Did a search and the Dog Paws did not present itself, so now sadly it is indeed gone. The only thing I found was my glasses case which I had lost as well. I looked everywhere I could think of when there to no avail. So I guess this officially closes the book on it being somewhere out in the open. I will forever hold out hope that I tucked it away somewhere on all my crap only to be found again when I least expect it. Just wanted to let you guys/gals know that the Silver Dog Paws is still out there wandering around somewhere, or in complete hibernation. If I truly lost it and not just misplaced it, I hope someone realizes what they have....!!!

I lost a small UG demascus sebenza a few years ago. I still find myself looking for it sometimes. I hope you find your knife.

So sorry to hear that. Sevetal years back, I lost a blue alox Victorinox Farmer I paid $20 for it. About a 2.5 years or so later and I happened I find it. It was somehow in the back of my lazy boy chair. When I realized I lost it, I looked all over including all up in the chair and I couldn't see it. I ended up selling it recently for $180 on eBay. I'm sure it'll turn up in the weirdest place imaginable!

Speaking from experience, sometimes when you least expect it they turn up, in the weirdest places. Let's hope you are one day you are glancing at something not related and all of sudden it's like holy crap there's my knife.

Nyfemaker, sorry for your loss. I lost a William Henry one time and could not find it anywhere. I looked and looked and looked with absolutely no luck. I gave up hope in fact when it did not show up for months. Then the next fall I went to put on a jacket and there it was. There was a string near the zipper of the jacket that must have caught the pocket clip just right. When I took off the jacket it must have pulled the knife out of my pocket without me feeling it. I checked the pockets of that jacket many times but only found the WH when I put on the jacket and the knife was still hanging from that string. Needless to say I was thrilled.

I am bound to loose or misplace a knife sometime since I carry everyday. I had always hoped when it happens that the knife will be a cheap one. That however is not likely as I carry WH and CRK almost exclusively these days.
