It was bound to happen sooner or later....... :-( Lost A Sebenza

I went to the beach four days ago, put my small insingo micarta inlays in the internal pocket of my backpack. I used it at lunch time and back in the pocket locked with the clip.
At home it was simply disappeared: so sad about that, it was one of my favorite EDC

Ouch! Hope it turns up Falco. Glad is was not your engraved 25 if that is any consolation.

No way! somewhere in the sand I thnk! Not stolen since there was also the wallet inside... and the wallet was still there

Yeah don't give up hope. I misplaced my first Mnandi one weekend. Was super bummed and gave up after looking high and low. Two to three years later it turned up during a move. It was way down deep within a sofa. Only heard it rattle around when my buddy and I were navigating the sofa through the door way.

Well, there goes my first sebenza... I was biking around town last night and my 25 fell out of my pocket somewhere along the way. I'm not certain how it happened, seeing as it fully clipped to my pocket. Perhaps my phone got underneath it and pushed it out. I retraced my steps for 2 hours this morning, but no sign of it. Definitely not at home, either. I had it less than 24 hours :(

no way! that sucks. $400+ down the toilet?

It was a user I picked up for $325, but yes, down the toilet...I've liquidated a bunch of valuable shit I don't use, so I'm cash heavy right now and it doesn't feel as bad as it could.

Most depressing thread. I lost a cheaper knife years ago but it was irreplaceable due to our draconian import laws here. However, lesson learned my CRK small micarta insingo is anchored to my belt with a lanyard. I work hospitality so replacing a CRK is a big ask...

Good luck to everyone in finding/replacing their CRKs...

Richard

I'm very sorry for your losses, gentlemen! I hope they'll turn up again :)
These pocket clips are handy but very dangerous as well! Clipped to the pocket it seems like the knife is making the first step to leave it... like it's making a chin-up looking outside the pocket
Both of my Sebenzas had been pulled out of the pocket by seatbelt or jacket a couple of times but until today I've heard them fall every time...

I once lost my small cf 21 off the tailgate of my truck. I looked for 3 hours and finally found it after dark while using a flashlight. The blade reflected the light really well and I found it relatively quickly. So you may want to give that a whirl. I have since lost the same knife in Disneyland this past summer. This time I know its not coming back.
