It's Been A Long Time Giveaway

13,657 Mt Tom and 12,329 Twin Peaks are my guesses. I'm looking forward to all the pics and stories coming for this GAW

A reminder to those who entered with two elevation guesses - only one per person. Please edit your posts accordingly. This will be tricky because for a couple of you one of the two is in the running; with luck you will keep the correct one.

My local post office has determined that nothing sharp can be shipped to international destinations.

They tell me that at my local post office too. As they are idiots, and ignorant of their own regulations, I ignore them.

Wonderful photos, that really is some spectacular scenery

I have to say that somebody INSANE must be running your local P.O.

My sentiments exactly. I had done it before without a problem, but then one time I sold a knife to someone overseas, and the person at the desk cited some new obscure rule. I had them get the supervisor, who repeated the obscure new rule. No matter what I said, they wouldn't budge. One of these days I'm going to try a PO in a different town to see what they say.

My guess is 13,645 for Mount Milestone. Pretty much just a shot in the dark, but it is a pointy looking mountain.

Fun idea for a giveaway.

Generous give away, Lambertiana, and the mountain pictures are breathtaking.
And some beautiful scenery from others as well.

Cool giveaway! I'll guess Sky Blue Lake, at 11,550 feet.

I grew up five minutes from Icheetucknee State Park, a favorite river to tube down, fed by underground springs.

I've been down the Icheetucknee several times in a tube and snorkeled it twice. Super cool river.

We used to go at least once or twice a summer, and sometimes once or twice in the slow season. I miss it. The 72 degree water was always refreshing after a long day of mowing the grass.

14,607 feet (that's a wild guess. I don't have access to a scanner and therefore can't show my favorite wilderness area but 15 minutes from here in any direction is pretty much a wilderness area so here's a local picture I have on my computer.

Me neither

I post an awful lot of slipjoints though! ;) :D
I once had the same problem at the local PO, sending tent pegs. I switched to "camping gears" and the problem vanished. Now I send either camping gears or slipjoints. :D

Nice thread , brings back some great memories.. I've been to some beautiful place - Baxter peak [ Mt. Khatadan] in Maine
Cascade mt's out west , Canadian Rockies - Stunning ..
