Its Been a While So....

Yes Sir....Buckeye. Did the score give it away?
Stabalized Buckeye and its still just a little dusty from the sanding.
Its going to buff up real nice. g

Being from the Buckeye state, I recognize those little nuts. They reminded me of the chocolate and peanut butter buckeyes that everyone makes around this time too!

Can't wait to see what this looks like when done

Matt

That looks to be a sweet one Gordon. Post lot's of photo's of the finished product;)

I have an issue with weak snap (my fault) and I don't have the bolster polished just right but here it is at about 90% done. And I've been unable to get just the right picture quality to show what I'm seeing for the Buckeye anyway here it is so far.

Very nice! What are you going to use for a finish?

Woody

That is much much better maybe just slightly dark on the wood. It does pick up the colors in the wood very nicely. Damn good picture rehab actually. Thanks Haebbie.

No finish Woody...plasticized wood.

Well it's boxed and about to be on the way. Dave would you do a photo layout for JB please?
Oh, I have a 100% return policy in cause this one isn't for you. :)

Well they both look good to me.... I'll take one in dark wood and one in lite wood...
That PD get's all the good ones... He's a Lucky guy....

Wow Gordon, that is beautiful! I can't wait to get my hands on it. What is the finish on the blade?

Nice-lookin' knife there. Though if I know my buckeye, I'm betting the wood has a bit more of a blue cast to it than the photo shows.

That finish is called stone-washed.

I've never seen it before...has anyone got one like it?

Had some stone-washed jeans once, but never a knife!:D

Stone-washed, BG-42 blade, N/S Bolsters and Buckeye handles! That will be a one of a kind that I'll be very proud to have as #100.

Come to think of it, I think CRK offers "stone-washed" as a finish on Sebbies (not that anyone here would be interested in them).:D

LOL!

OK, now that we have 3 photoshop variations of my orignal picture, its a lighter and bluer than Haebbie's first effort. 300, your's is too brown. Anyway, I'm sure that California morning sun will be just right for wonderful pictures on the knife. Right Dave. :)

Nice Job and thanks for pitching in on the pics. All the more fun! g
