  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

It's coming to this- I must commit heresy.

Just a quick idea before you completely write off the tweeners. Try playing with one with liners. I did this weekend and the handle was COMPLETELY different in hand. It felt like a MUCH larger knife. I was still able to strap it into the sheath too. It just took a couple days to get the snaps loosened enough to fit around the handle.

Different strokes for different folks. I don't really like the BK11 very much, but the BK14 is a joy to use and hold. Who needs a bottle opener anyways, everything is screw caps these days...

That bottle opener makes for a foolproof retention system. You just tie a shockcord loop through one of the sheath holes, add two knots at the end and put it up over the handle end so it rests in the bottle opener. No possible way to lose your knife. Can't do that with the BK14. Although, I just got my zytel handles and I'm really digging the 14. Not going to strip it till my piggyback sheath arrives...looks good black and orange. Probably the first Becker I wasn't in a hurry to strip. It'll be silver and black soon enough.

Old demo pic. You can't see the knots in this shot, but they are at the top so you can pull it off easily.

I could get by without a bottle opener, but neither the beer I drink, nor the Mexican cokes I drink, come with twist off caps...
