It's fun...

Ok. That's what I thought....

Let's see what this Friday (last Friday?) brings...

Pics to come later, but I opened a package at the PO yesterday to be very surprised that I a friend had given me a Fiddleback Kephart for Christmas. I was right in my thinking that I was going to love this design. As always with Andy's enigmatic craftsmanship I love the sublime handle ergonomics, I absolutely love the blade geometry, and the grind is simply fantastic. The man does phenomenal work, and he just keeps getting better and better at what he does, and that is a pleasure to watch!

I'm literally itching to get it outside, but even in my excitement I am still here hoping to see what this week's batch looks like before I have to head out.

I found a nice used one for a friend of mine for Christmas. I guess around here it's fiddleback season for Christmas. I'd like to see the pics, so please start a thread. A side-by-side with a Bushfinger would be awesome if you have one. After today's viewing of course. Congratulations on the gift!!!

It has been one heck of a Christmas so far that's for sure. I told the wife last night that I would love whatever she got me for Christmas, whatever she chose to get, but the only way she could top this would be with the 105mm f/2.8 VR macro lens, or the 18-200mm VR zoom lens I have been wanting for my work, so don't try... at $1,000.00 each I don't think that's going to happen... :)

Yeah, I've shopped camera lenses for my wife before. The good ones are very expensive...

Yes they are. I'm just getting started good and already have over $3,500.00 invested in equipment, have another $2,500.00 minimum to spend, and then after that the lens I want are from $2,500.00 to $4,500.00 each.... and I thought my carpentry tools were expensive...

I just wanted to let you know I really like your bolstered bushfinger. I wish we could see more of that. I never really cared for bolsters before, but Andy makes it work for me. They are quite attractive!!!

Well...looks like I'm not going to make it, you guys have fun and enjoy. I'll have to check in later and see what the "final day" batch looks like. Hopefully the day doesn't end before I'm back around wi-fi :)

I will console myself with the fact that even though I missed the posting of this weeks batch, that I get to play with a beautiful new Kephart today, and start the process of getting it dirty :D

Thanks I really like it too, I love his bolster work. I think he is working on replacing a piece of equipment he needs in order to make them.

Man, between Friday and the new Fiddlebacks at KSF, this is torture!

Yes it is! I'm gonna be late for a meeting, still in pajamas...and still here hoping to see before I leave. I mean...what if this really is the last Friday!!

Did you guys see the red curly maple Kephart? Wow! I wonder if there's some maple in this batch too?

They have new ones at KSF? I only see 7. Am I looking at the right place where they "ship free?"
