It's Old Timer time, fellas: Show your U.S.-made OTs

Ah yes, I have a couple of those, one big one small. That wharncliffe blade looks like a modification though, I think they only ever came in clip blades.

Youre right, when I looked at various pictures online, I couldnt find a Wharncliffe but figured the clip point was modified to its current form. I like its patina though

Hello, sorry for reviving a year-old thread, but I just acquired a pair of unused Schrade USA Minutemen from Ebay, and they just arrived. They're from two separate sellers, and came with different boxes. Can anyone tell me if either of these boxes indicates when they were made?
The Minuteman was my first pocket knife (aside from the cheapo SAK knockoffs I earned from selling popcorn in Cub Scouts) and was given to me by my grandfather, who always carried the smaller Old Timer stockman himself.

As you can see, the lower knife has a wider clip blade. It's also thicker; the clip blade of the upper knife tapers to incredibly thin near the tip:

Somebody obviously fell asleep at the grinder.

That's a beauty, Lance!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Wish I had your patience and search skills! :) I took the easy way out last Christmas and bought a Chinese version  (but it did come with a cool deck of cards ;)).

Thanks Gary! I got into that one for a very good price. I wasn’t necessarily looking for it, I just couldn’t pass it up. ;):p

Thank you, Will!! I remember seeing these in a glass case display, wishing I could own all of them! They have proven, even though they were made with Delrin handle material, the idea was have it depict stag or natural bone handles, to be solid well built knives with great carbon steel.

You're right, Perry, and I have a lot more of the Uncle Henry "stag" than I do of the Old Timer "bone." Same great knives, just a cover preference.
