It's Old Timer time, fellas: Show your U.S.-made OTs

Beautiful group of Stockmen! (Stockmans?) :D

I agree with your assessment of these USA Schrades. You definitely get a lot for your money.

Very nice Blademan. I caught the few I own out of the bay. I did buy a Chinese copy OT for $10 and I was actually quite surprised at the quality. I realize it isn't "real". I really lament the passing of Schrade. I was not really an "accumulator" of knives back in their day and really missed out on some basic quality cutlery that they produced. My Dad had a couple and I got one after he passed, but knives were just tools to him that when broken or worn out got tossed and down to Stokes Hardware for another. Old Timer threads are some of my favorite.

I've browsed this thread from start to finish a few times now and each time leaves a big grin on my face. I love seeing these unassuming knives get a well-deserved turn in the spotlight.

Thanks for sharing everyone. I'm looking forward to more photos and stories to come.

Some nice Old Timers, really like the ones with some patina! I've been carrying the middle 34OT a bit.

Very nice collection Bob!

The 8OT is probably my all-time favorite Schrade edc. Here are some of my variations:

Barry, you picked many Schrade fan's favorite. The 80T is top of the line, thanks for showin' 'em. They look especially good in a group.

A USA-made Old Timer, I've got one of those around here somewhere...

What a fantastic collection, Bob! You even have multiple multiples!:thumbup:

The Prince Albert Set is one of my grails though. I only have the can and the stockman.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, the wife doesn't appreciate it. :D

Nope, no duplicates. Here are some of the different 8OT knives from the collection:

This was the set that was displayed at the Schrade factory. A lot of people have found all three knives and a can, and I've seen other cans with the paper intact. But how many still have the tobacco?

Even better, Bob, even better!

I've always had a soft spot for Old Timers; carried one everyday for a good 20 years until I lost it in 2005. Trying to find another is what turned me from an ordinary knife user into a knife hoarder (panicked when I found out they were out of business)! Some of mine - from Peanut sized to deer skinners. OH
