Very good, especially for the price, and it hasn't caused me any hangovers. Yet.

I like Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, but I like Captain Morgan Black a lot better. It's a molasses-based spiced blackstrap rum, which means it's richer and a bit sweeter than the original. Definitely a step up, IMO. The flavor profile is similar to the original but more so, with flavors of brown sugar, vanilla, coffee, oak, cloves allspice, and cinnamon, with maybe a hint of peppermint. It's alcohol content is a bit higher too--94.6 proof for the Balck compared to 70 proof for the original (I think). A bit of ice makes it better, and it should do well as a mixer. I'm sure it would be at least as good as the original with Coke.
