It's snark in here.

What's funny is I'm looking at this now, only after I already saw it on the exchange. Maybe you've inspired me to liquidate a few things that I really don't need. Or....maybe not.
Also, your post about the TV was the only page one post that didn't say something like "in on one!" Only reason I read it.

And that post barely made it on page 1 :)

Thanks for the help, Im sure you will enjoy the 4, its a lot of fun. I really like it.

Ill be getting another one of whatever i sell for this TV thats for sure. Just cant pass up this deal.

When I need a new lightweight chore/boonie jacket for spring this is what I do. Go to Goodwill, find a heavy cotton or canvas jacket that has the right fit, pockets etc. Wash and dry. Mix up tradewater's waterproofer.

1 pound beeswax
8 oz. boiled linseed oil
8 oz. turpentine
3 Tb pine tar
Rub it in, let it dry (outside :D) and voila Filson Tin cloth jacket for five bucks.

Right side done.

Tom.....Tom, Tom....as long as there is someone willing to drop that sort of coin, there will be people selling that sort of bling. I met a guy who had just spent 1 million dollars on a NICKEL and I had this thought that he seemed mildly insane.....come to find out about a year later he sold it: 2.5 million. Now it's been bought for $3,737,500......do I understand any of this? Absolutely not. But there are obviously people WAY smarter than me who have this stuff figgerd out. They must be smarter than me, because they are into some wicked stoopid piles of cash. (insert "quizzically scratching my head" emoticon here)

Do tell.....do. So enigmatic!
Word.
Well, I decided to pull an inadvertently backburnered project or two back to the front, so I found myself profiling a blade, and then drilling and filing a pair of brass guards for a knife I should have finished a year ago. Plus scheming a few future projects to smooth out my EDC, etc. And mocking up an bevel angle finding rig based on the one in Verhoeven's paper. Plus a few more things that must remain confined to the skunk works for the present.

...Now to sort my workflow. Apparently, sinus medicines are better for providing moxie than preserving organizational skills.

I understand buying things for this purpose. I just have difficulty understanding paying that amount of money for ANY knife. Boutique knives have no place in my life.....so may they be damned!!!:D

Are you sure you didn't just smear peanut butter on it?

BTW, three is the place to be.

Neat. I'll give that a try. I have an old surplus jacket that could be better with water.

In on three where the cool kids be..........Also a Jiffy treated coat is a great way to spot some bears.

Listed a few excellent knives for sale in effort to get this TV. I hate to sell these, but ill be re-buying them in the near future... Silly but it avoids any arguments with the wife.

What? Yer selling yer BK9?!? You do know that you can't not have a bk9, right? It's not something that can or should ever be done.
