Thanks. Very retro looking. And like I said, still works:

Love that pic!

Hey G&B,

Wicking socks under your circumstances can't hurt, but you may also want to consider some other strategies. In warm humid condition more open mesh shoes might help - at least they can't hurt. If you sweat a lot, consider stopping more frequently and changing to a dry pair of socks. This is likely the most effective option. Just an FYI - we go running in the winter here in Toronto and even in sub-freezing conditions, our socks are soaked with perspiration when we get home - most feet sweat more than we think!

Are you trying to avoid blisters? You may also want to look at anti-chaffing products like those from Body Glide (there are others).

Thank you for your advice. It seems a hassle to stop here and there to change socks, however, it far surpasses the alternative :D

I'm guessing I probably sweat no more or less than anyone else, good to know some strategies to combat it and keep my feet dry and healthy.

I've never really had issues with blisters, of course I DO want to avoid them, but it's not a particularly pressing concern of mine.

Changing socks is a pain, but less pain than getting blisters - lol. Good luck, there are no easy solutions. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Watched Helix. NASTY I like it, and the first couple episodes of Banshee so far. Good show, I think Im gonna like it a lot.

Hey guys,

Am I missing a Shot Show thread?

Not really. Ethan has one but it isn't being updated regularly. OKB has been posting stuff on Facebook, and James Nowka is there if you want something in particular. Doc and James posted up the new Kabar TDI by Hinderer that looks actually like a BAMF knife.

I only cut myself once this evening finishing up my challenge entry....

He's a little portly and rough around the edges, but who am I to judge. I have no room to talk.

There is some real merit to how you lace your boots. In the Corps the only precautions I took were to ensure I never wore new boots that weren't broken in and the double sock tip. Silky dress socks under good wool socks makes an easy hike.
