So according to the tracking, my package sat at the USPS sorting facility from 8pm last night until 5:30pm today... less than 1.5 hrs from my house.... sigh

That big Koster nessie looks like fun. I may have to look into getting one sometime.

On another note, job hunting sucks. I've worked nights for the last 5 years and beings I'll be out of a job soon Iam wanting to switch over to days to get back to having a normal life. Every local trucking job I've checked so far is hiring on the night shift only. Its kinda looking like I might just have to bite the bullet and stay on nights for a while. :thumbdn:

no offense, but the only ones that appeal to me are the #2 and #3 from the top, and maybe the bottom one. The middle area is all way to upswept for my taste. just my opinion, im sure they are all nice knives....but i would only buy 3 of the lot lol

Sitting at my campsite at the Florida Caverns State Park. The wife and girls took a quick trip to the store. Listening to my neighbors talk loudly about their passion for Pokemon. They are like 50. Apparently they don't take any shit when it comes to their Pokemon. Life is good right now.

Anybody have a River Traders knife? Looks kinda cool for the money, 1095, supposedly handmade. Nice scales, shape, finish, patterns. Kinda thin though, says they are only 1/16th thick. (?)

''The Metis trade knife is made of fire etched 1095 high carbon steel and has a curly maple handle with brass pins attached to the full tang. These are hand made so each will vary slightly in blade length and overall length. The knife measures 9" in overall length with a blade length of 5" and is .062 (1/16)" thick. Each knife comes with a heavy dark brown leather belt sheath. Made in the U.S.A.''

#1 is a Raquette original. upstate NY guy. amazing bit of knife.

#2 and #3 are a matched set made by a cool dude local to me.

#4 and #5 are of course, BRKT. don't have those anymore. good trade.

#6 is an interesting experiment made with evil-carta - home made blue jean micarta. heh.

and of course, the #7 is a Koster small Nessie. the BIG nessie is like a CLEAVER. massive.

i think i have a couple more here or there :)

Clearing out a bunch of sheath stuff at the auction shop they all end tomorrow, lots of Beckers lots of others. People sometimes change there mind on color or style after I am about 3/4 finished with their order so I clear them out every few months so I am not tripping over them.

Sadly, I have no muks at all. I was eyeing the one from Bhk, right up until the god of biscuits posted the Busse one. Must.... resist.

I'm pretty much mukless.

Me too. I really wanted this one. so much so I was willing to not eat for a week to get it. fortunately for me someone snagged it so I won't go hungry. unfortunately I was looking forward to losing the couple extra lbs.

Side note to that I'm in a "biggest loser" challenge at work. costs $5 a month and you weigh in on the first and last days. person with the highest percentage of weight lost for the month wins the pot. I won $100 last month by losing 9 1/2 lbs. this month I'm already down another 5. that makes 17 lbs total for the 3 months this has been going on.
