It was so cold out tonight that I had ice forming on my exhaust when idling. 10 degree in Georgia is COLD! And .. it's WINDY!

Now - remember the Fiddleback crew keeps the roll up door open when making knives in the shop. Just something to think about. brrrrr.

Our low was -1 last night. It hurts to breathe. I'm going back to bed.

We have 25 below wind chills this morning. I'll be working outside a good part of today. Then we have 2-4" of snow on the way tonight so I will have to work a double tonight/tomorrow. I'll be in my plow truck at midnight and then work my regular day tomorrow. Ugh ..... I plowed once already this week. Spring can't get here soon enough. :D

Minus 9 currently here. I will limit my trips out today! Brrr

Chris D.:D

Low here was 6 and very little wind not bad but i work at night so it was little colder. I deal with brand new trucks from Mack Truck and i tell you what most of them had problems starting but somehow i made it through the night.

It's 8 today, windchill of -11. Yesterday morning when I got up, it was -1 with a windchill of -24. I'm grateful for the ability to stay inside and a flexible schedule.

Yeah, I was thinking about what it would be like for the crew this morning last night when I was looking at the forecast for today. I am about an hour and a half north of you guys, but at a higher elevation, and it's pretty chilly here too.

But I could take a ten minute drive down the mountain and warm up a few degrees :)

It's 52 degrees and raining here. I had to take my kids to VBS on my motorcycle because our truck is finally getting it's glass put in. They started yesterday just after lunch and here we are almost a day later . . . . ummmmm, hurry up people!!! I want my truck back! Rain picked up and is worse then when I took them this morning, so I think I'm going to walk the mile out to the main road and catch a taxi.

I'm from Minnesota, so I don't see a problem.

Joking - I'm more used to bitter cold than most, but it's darn cold out there.

The shop is currently reading 32 degrees. That's why I'm here in the office pretending to be doing important computer work. :D

I was born in MN and have it in my blood, but after living in CO for 45 years, I prefer the 4 seasons we get here, rather than the 2 seasons (freezing cold and mosquito) that MN has.

My folks and my sister both live in MN. My nieces and nephew didn't have school yesterday cuz the "feels like" temp was -40 or something crazy like that.

It was a solid 1* this morning when I left the house. The bank sign kind of actually looked broken with that single digit up there LOL

I don't spend much time out in it, but I kind of enjoy when it gets this cold. Reminds me of growing up in the U.P.

When you step outside and the snow squeaks beneath your feet, and you take a breath and your nose freezes shut for a second.

I know this sounds strange, but it reminds me of my childhood.

-25C yesterday and it was a fine afternoon for crosscountry skiing. Cold weather is like adding caffeine to the air, step out to the outhouse first thing in the morning and with a few breaths one is fresh and wide awake for the day. Its with pleasure to hear and feel the wood furnace running when one comes back in with the smell of fresh toast in the house.

Just need the snow to start falling and my life is complete ;)

Love winter just as much as I love sweating my butt off in the peak summer

The two seasons thing is exactly right - LoL.

7°F here in lovely central Virginia, looks like we got some solid snow up on the blue ridge! Might have to fancy a hike this weekend as long as the weather doesn't get too foul

12 degrees when I left for work this morning. I love having seasons. But it's times like these when I question my decision to leave this:

Yep, was just thinking the same thing as I was questioning the wisdom of leaving this...but if memory serves there was a hurricane involved :)
