I've become a 3 knife carrier...........

Always have my full-size Doug Ritter and the SAK Classic I've carried for 30 years. At work I add my Meyerco/Blackie Collins assisted box cutter for
cutting tape and cardboard. The Meyerco cost 10 bucks and has lasted
11 years so far...

I've also kinda been wondering if I'm loosing it for carrying three blades (actually, if you count my backpack, which is at my desk while @ work or in the car if I'm away overnight, I'm at 7 or 8).

I carry a small spear-point blade in my right back pocket (CRKT M16-01KZ),
a larger folder with a thick profile in my right front (ZT 350)
and an Izula on my belt.

I guess the progression was: I've always carried one, I got the ZT and started carrying that, but felt a small pointy blade would compliment it nicely, and then the Izula showed up and I fell in love with it, so I decided I need to carry that too.

Oh well, I guess I'm well prepared for most cutting tasks I may encounter.

Today, I had 5 blades on me. However, two of them are on my keys (Spyderco Honeybee, and a Swisstool Utilikey), and weight nothing, so I generally don't count them. The other 3 (today at least) were the blade on my Gerber Mini-Suspension S in my front right pocket, my Spyderco UKPK clipped to the change/lighter pocket of my jeans, and my Buck Vantage Select clipped to my front right pocket.

I usually stick to this 3 blade system if I'm out in public...the MT is always on me, and I use it for the tools not the blade, but I always try to have a small, people friendly knife on my person. Either a traditional slipjoint, that UKPK, or my Byrd Robin usually ride shotgun to my larger blade. The biggest knife I usually carry is a Byrd Cara Cara/Cara Cara 2, which goes in my right butt pocket, again paired with a smaller knife in another pocket. Unless I'm carrying my Stainless handled Cara Cara, the total weight of blades on me never exceeds...oh, maybe 6-7 oz.

If I'm around the house, and I know I'm not going out, it's usually only one blade, which varies depending on my mood.

Three is my usual EDC as well and it's been the same for yeras now. One SAK, a stockman or congress pattern slipjoint, and one Cold Steel knife(usually my Pro-Lite).
