I've decided. I found the "one".

Congratulations bladeboss. I wish you and the big 275 a long and fulfilling relationship. Your choice of the Adamas is certainly a keeper.
 
My Spyderco Native was IT for me. Then I bought a Mini-Grip. But it's a Fallkniven U2 in my pocket. I'm just fickle, I guess.
 
When I got my first Griptilian I told my girlfriend "this knife is perfect, I don't think I will ever need another knife". And I guess I haven't really "needed" any other knife, but variety is also good and fun.

After the Griptilian it was the PM2, It was so much fun to play, but with time I started noticing certain things that I didn't really like about it.

After that I guess I just realized I will never have a single "go to" knife because depending what I'm wearing, where I'm going, and what I'm doing I'll pick a different one every time. My current go-to knives are DCL Fixed EDC in pocket sheath, ZDP Endura, and ZDP Caly 3.5.
 
I found "The One" with the Chris Reeve Sebenza. That hasn't stopped me from buying more knives as I enjoy them all, but the Sebenza is still "The One."

Thanks! You could get one anyway and strip the coating yourself. It would definitely take some time though. It's holding up pretty well.

I've thought many times I should just dive in and buy an expensive fixed blade to try out, but they don't make me as excited as folders, and the folder gets my cash.
Oh well. Someday maybe.

They don't have to be huge or expensive to be great. I just got this one in the mail yesterday for pocket carry around the office. It's kicked a small Sebenza out of my pocket (for now).
 
I am with NetshadeX with the scratches on blade coating. It shows so much character. I don't have a ONE but my go to for work is a Spyderco Military. The Mili is lite but still very strong and has a great blade length.

Knife addicts are just like all other addicts, they can't stop chasing that high.

Something Else will be along shortly.
 
I am still exploring options for me, I figured the "one" might never come, if it does then it will most likely be a custom or a nice mid tech. There is so many knives and new ones coming out so the "one" might never happen to me. I am not mormon, but I sure like to have multiples and use them all too. lol

My Strider SnG is the one, but I still will buy (and sell) more knives. Saving up for some custom scales for my Spyderco Gayle Bradley right now, then I'm gonna sell two of my fixed blades towards getting a sebenza. I'm currently working on carving a knife out of Colby jack cheese. I'm gonna call it the nomnomzaan.
 
I thought the same thing about my Adamas. The only reason I got rid of it is because a teenager carrying something like that in suburban New York doesn't exactly go down too well with sheeple.
 
I have found the "One" several times. So now I've resigned myself to having a nice little harem.
 
as implied in the OP picture, it's one of the few folders with the right shape and enough strength to deliver a reverse hold, blade-down stab. all those so-called tactical folders: mutter-mutter...
 
I found the one............many times I found the one. But that is the nature of the addiction! But if it was going to be one then I think the Adamas would be a good one. Btw, I have one myslf that that I am in the process of "melting" the black G-10 handles on mine, just to change it up a tad. I will post up some pics once.finished.
