and I can say without hesitation that it's a wonderful knife. My knife is a lightly used one I bought on the forum. Since I intended to carry, a couple marks on the blade didn't matter to me.

A lot of people have commented how thin the knife is relative to the 4mm slab of VG-10, yep it is!!! The action is very smooth opening and closing. My Para2's compression lock is a tad sticky...this one is not. The blade is a hair off center but I don't really get my shorts in a knot about that. The one thing I was prepared to fault was the large finger choil that takes away some cutting edge. However, once I began to use the knife to cut odds and ends I found the handle although very comfortable a little distant for detail work at the tip. So, I naturally started choking up on the choil even after just a few days. Also, I put it on the sharpmaker today and it's back to making little bald spots on my leg.

I'm very pleased with this knife!! I am also surprised how little talk there has been on this for forum about this fine knife. If you like a big leaf blade ala the Manix I, this is a great option for you.

Oh, and how often will you have the opportunity to have a 4mm slab of razor sharp VG-10 in your pocket these days?!:thumbup:

I love mine too.

What blew me away with the the mirror edge on the blade. Someone in Seki City was on their game. It was super sharp out the box.

I love 95% of mine, so many cool things about this knife. Unlike OP, I dislike the choil a little more each day. It'd be so perfect without it!!

I really like the blade shape on the Superleaf, looks like a great cutting tool.

I can't find anything wrong with the design - I find myself carrying this and my Para 2 more and more over my other knives. The Perrin PPT got some pocket-time this week when I was out of town, but I kept wanting to go back and find my Superleaf and put it back in my pocket.

Its a very fine knife.

More I see Superleaf, more I want it... I might change my PM2 back order into Superleaf... Since both have compression lock and for somereason I do like VG-10 tad more than S30V so that beefy piece of VG-10 tempts me...

A great design overshadowed by other family members like the Manix 2. My only itty-bitty beef: I would prefer brass washers o nylon. No biggie.

I very much prefer the superleaf over the manix 2. Thick VG-10 blade and compression lock in a relatively light package. Additionally, no bushing pivot which, IMHO, has a tendency for lateral blade play.

Yeah...what I meant was "...overshadowed in terms of market buzz by other..." Spyderco knives like the M2. Was not intended as a lick on the SuperLeaf.

the Superleaf is on my short list, but i have one question, the 4mm slab, is it the same as the ParaMillie2? just want some clarification on that.

Oh yes, I understood what you meant. I just wanted to post something that's been percolating on my mind. Cheers! :D

The thickness on the P2 is 3.5mm

And looking at both, the taper on the Para seems to be a little more drastic in the blade where as the Superleaf seems to stay fairly thick to about 2/3 of the way down the blade (going from the tang to the tip).

I would have bought 1 in a heartbeat if it Didn't have the Big choil. Too much useable cutting edge used for something most people wouldn't use that much.
I'm sure Sal really wanted the big choil thou. I was hoping I could buy a Spydie with a
the orginal Manix style blade.:(

it does have a huge choil doesn't it?? there are many things we can point out about one design to the other its kinda what makes everything unique..!! I for one cant stand a high riding knife about as much as I can't stand cell phones that have different charging/com ports.. can't they all just utilize the mini usb??

Just recently I found the best pocket clip (other then the wire one spyderco uses) to be on the buck pro vantage...... its just smooth..

my sage is about the most comfortable knife from spyderco, love the clip, and the height.. oh and did I mention design?? .....
