Four elephant ivory handled knives finished by Dr. Fred Carter
in December 2006, tied together as a set with matching engraving.
This commissioned set consists of two large hunting knives and two
smaller skinning knives and the 4 knives were made especially for the
opening page of my latest book.

The mammoth handles are only a small part of a truly amazing knife by John. There is a whole lot more going on with this knife then the picture shows. The knife has gone back to John for his Master Smith testing in Atlanta. Ive also managed to snag John`s MS test- Quillon Dagger. John says its his finest knife to date. A photo project is planned for both knives and will be shared on the Forum. I can hardly wait to have the knives in hand.

A better view of the handle on the last one. Can you tell the difference compared to Coop's work??? :jerkit:

Man you have one heck of a Hanson collection.
I have never seen Gnarly Walrus tusk like that. Like it.
I really like that sheath. I don't recognize the maker. Who?

I'd like to show some pics of my friend Antonio Montejano whose style I really like and he never stops
surprising me.

Man, some truly awesome stuff being pictured here.. One from my collection by a South
African maker.. I like the way he finished the scales, using the imperfections to give the
knife a rustic feel.. Best, Rich

I have a secretary at my office. I think at times I need one when I am on the computer at home!?

Found this floating around on my computer (in the wrong place). When in a beauty contest, show your best side:
