Looking for recommendations ? I'm going to be getting a glock 26 for CC.
Kind regards
Krav

I'm waiting on a City Slicker IWB from R. Grizzle. They have been very professional and highly communicative through the process. While I haven't received the holster yet, it came highly recommended on this forum and elsewhere. I would give them a look is nothing else.

I use the Galco King Tuk for my glock 19. Great holster. It's a hybrid kydex+leather IWB holster. I've had it for 5 years almost and I've perfected my draw so much so that I can safely draw and accurately fire my first shot at close distance in about 1 to 1.5 seconds. It's an extremely reliable and stable holster. It doesn't move around at all your gun will always be in the same spot. Retention is perfect after its broken in. Comfort is very high too.

Its is made to be worn around the 4 or 5 of clock position. It conceals extremely well. I'm a thinner guy and it would be impossible to tell I was carrying my 19 unless I was bending over picking something up. Otherwise there is no printing at all. And thats with the mid size 19. The 26 will hide even better

Very cool, thanks. What about a gun belt? I always wear a leather belt, wonder if that will due. It's a pretty stiff belt.

If you want leather, there are a bunch of pro's right here on the forum that could carve you up something pretty. Check the "Sheaths & Such" section. I actually swap holsters between two. One is an OWB that I made (use this the most because I usually dress loose and un-tucked. The other is a Crossbreed IWB.

If you just want great deep concealment, I'd go with a Crossbreed SuperTuck Deluxe (or one of the many style copies like the Galco listed above). I have the natural horsehide Crossbreed Deluxe, and it is both functional and comfortable. I wear EVERYday, so comfort is a big issue for me.

The reason they can be deeply concealed IWB, and still be comfortable, is because all of the gun molding is on the outside of the body shield. This leaves no hot spots to dig into your hip/side. No matter what your body shape. When lugging around a 1911 in 45 all day, I can't endure uncomfortable hot spots. The G26 is just a tad on the thick side, so you really need to consider the comfort aspect.

Enjoy the new Glock. I'm a fan. Even though they are not my most carried guns anymore, there is always a Glock or two that goes to the range with me each time. I also have a G22 (.40cal) in the BioLockBox mounted by my bed. The trigger of every Glock I've shot is always crisp and consistent.

I wore a leather belt until I got an instructors/rigger belt and now I'll never buy another leather belt for the rest of my life..... ever.... Unless I needed one for a suit or some crap. As for a gun belt though, I say screw leather. With leather you are stuck with your set sizes based on the hole locations. With a riggers belt or instructors belt that is velcro or some type of latch then you can perfectly adjust the size of the belt. This helps a ton when you are carrying. Like a LOT.

That is the belt I have. Its over priced there, but just so you can look at it. There are a plethora of copies from many different makers. Varrying thickness and stiffness and you can even get polymer insert but it is stiff as hell with out one already. Yes velcro wears over time, but I've had mine going on 5 years and just now getting to the point where I feel like getting a replacement which doesn't bother me. If you only want to buy 1 belt every 20 years then velcro wouldn't be a good move. There are a lot out there. Just google "instructors belt" or "rigger gun belt".

I'll never ever use a leather belt again as I said. That is just me though. Some people may not feel as strongly.

Most comfortable IWB is the StealthGear ONYX. It's expensive, but worth it. I have a Galco King Tuk sitting in it's box until I can get around to selling it.

I'm running a Q-Series minimalist holster at appendix now, as I am thin and don't dress baggy enough for a 4 o'clock carry.

I'm 5/8 about 170ish. Just got my CC permit today. So not sure where I want to IWB carry. I was thinking in the 4 o'clock, but I guess I won't know till I try.

I'd rather buy once, cry once. Lol

Thanks for all the input, I'm checking it out as we speak.

I've tried tons of holsters for my Glocks. I also agree that the F.I.S.T ultra thin Kydex is the way to go. Leather holsters are way too bulky. This ultra thin Kydex is like 2 millimeters thin. They also make the best clip in the business

FIST also makes a hybrid (crossbreed style) holster. I have one for my S&W Shield. It's very well made, but I have not given it enough time to break-in. The Crossbreed in horsehide is tough, but thin and more flexible than standard bovine. It's obvious, but I really like the combo of leather for comfort and Kydex for security. Thick leather for body shield will take more time to break in and mold to your body. Softer leathers happen almost instantly, but can allow hot spots down the road.

Hate to say it, but you will most likely end up with a drawer full of holsters anyway. Everyone wants that perfect holster, but each one you buy will have different strengths and weaknesses. One will be more comfortable, another more flexible, and yet another looks better. Then you take all those variables (maybe more), and mix them up with each different gun.

Hey, I just looked up from my iPad to see Crossbreed being highlighted on the Sportsman Channel show "Guns & Gear". Funny timing. But today I'm wearing my home made OWB.

And here's the CB that I wear when not covered with an oversized shirt. I've carried long enough to make comfort more important than style. So if wearing OWB, I wear sized up'd shirts. When IWB, I size up my pants.

Check out PJ Holster. I have one for my Glock 26 and M&P9c, and they work very well for me. Tulster holsters look nice as well. If I didn't already have the PJ I would give them a shot as they have an adjustable cant.

My first holster for my 26 was a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB holster. It's a nice holster and I appreciated it's silent holstering/de-holstering, however, it was a bit bulky and printed too much for my liking. YMMV. Good luck finding the right one for you Krav and congrats on your CC permit. :)

Lots of awesome holsters guys. I'm really liking those stealthgear holsters. A bit pricey but I may be looking into getting one. I need a slim OWB.

I was a leather/kydex hybrid holster user until I discovered the clipless holsters from Remora. I was skeptical at first until I tried one, and I really liked it. Much easier to take on and off than a hybrid.

If you decide on appendix carry, Dave at NSR tactical makes a really nice kydex holster. I have a few of them for different glocks, but the LLC-4 is excellent. It can be used for 4-o-clock, but it really shines as an appendix holster.

The wait time is long, but the quality is outstanding. His team polishes every edge until you can see reflections in the kydex.

Just got to figure out the right IWB holster now, got a lot of great ideas.

Thanks for your help

I read the thread, every post. There are some nice holsters listed. As you are new to this, you are going to look at the prices and think, WOW, those are high dollar, and some of them are.

BUT. when you think about it a nice holster makes toting around a gun a lot more comfortable. I would recommend a holster, but I'm not. I will say, don't cheap out, and don't get all but hurt,(with yourself) when that $120.00 holster just doesn't feel right. That's the breaks, its going to happen, get ready for it. Because what works for me, or anybody else might not work for you, actually probably wont.

A holster is, in my opinion, and most people from what I can tell, more personal than the gun. So just get used to the idea right now that you will end up with a drawer full of holsters, leather, kydex, leather and kydex, nylon and kydex, customs, and at some point just shoved inside your waist band or in your coat pocket.

I will say this, pick a spot, right hip, small of the back, left hip, appendix, IWB, OWB somewhere, and stick to it. More than 1/one person has grabbed for their pistol and realized it was in a different place.

Mines right hip, OWB. always. I just dress around it, for the last 12 years, before that small of the back, for 14 years or so. Went with a 10 to 11 o'clock cross draw for a few months, mostly because I thought it was cool, no other real reason.

Good luck on the choice, and what ever you get, spend a few hours a week for a while drawing and dry firing with what ever you wear the most, and in a couple of years you wont even think about it.

Good luck and enjoy the holster collection.
