Izula bite aka "A lesson on stitches"

My latest.I got nipped by my Blackhawk Tatang shaving a stick. The back edge is stupidly sharp just like the front edge.I see why dual edged knives make poor survival tools. They're hazardous to the survival of the user.

Finally some pics :)

Those steri-strips, or stitching patches as we call it here, are great.
When i still worked with my dad at the market selling cheese i had some nasty cuts too. Im such events i took the sticky part of a patch and cut something shaped like this and put it perpendicular over the wound:

Works well, almost all cuts healed nicely

May be overkill but after a few bites I use painters tape on my edge just for a backup. I'm a paramedic and can't really handle taking time off due to losing my ability of hand use.

Everyone's a comedian!

Got an appt tomorrow to get the stitches looked at, check mobility, etc.

Adam that sign you made is classic! I feel for you bro, you couldn't pick a worst place to jack up your trigger finger. It's just more time to practice on your off side.

I laugh at myself to keep from crying. :D It's about as much fun as it looks like. Worst part of it is the tetanus shot. My body doesn't handle shots well.

Playing around with a sharp knife? And you don't win. It's been over 2 years from when I got into a cluster f#$% and I still get weird looks. But wasn't a knife though...

Man, I think we need to make sure to keep Adam away from any junglas, he'll lose an arm. Maybe Jeff can design something like safety sisscors for him.

The little blades scare me the most. Just to be safe instead of doing fuzz sticks, I'm just going to throw wood in to one of these for tinder.
