Izula Review

This solidified my choice and color, of my next purchase. I will wait until I PCS to germany though. Too close to rotating out...don't want to miss it. Nice review.

great Review man... the Izula is one of my favorite knives... they come pretty darn sharp out of the box... i convexed the edge and it cuts even better than it did before....:)

Sorry I missed this thread ,
Excellent Review of the mighty Izula ....
Thanks for sharing with the RAT Pack !

looks great! Would love to hear other people's adventures with the Izula...I am sure there are some great stories out there!!

Great review. Have the Rat 1 (my EDC) and the Izula. I know the Rat 1 is under a bad cloud, because of Ontario. I still love it. I have been supprised by the Izula though in how many times I shoved it in my front pants pocket and forgot it was there. It could easily become the new EDC.

Great review. I'm loving my Izula. I can't wait for colder weather so I can carry it more often.

oh and on quick question, how does the coating hold up? is rusting a big concern with this high carbon steel?

You have to use this knife long and hard until it begins to show some scratches on the coating. Check out the "1095 an rust" sticky thread, you'll find there a ton of info about this.

For my neck carry, I just have a simple loop of 550 cord.

With the coating, it takes awhile to wear it down. The more it wears away the smoother it becomes, and a better slicer.

Rust should never be a problem with any blade of any steel with just a little proper maintainance.
