You have to use this knife long and hard until it begins to show some scratches on the coating. Check out the "1095 an rust" sticky thread, you'll find there a ton of info about this.

Thanks for the review, really liked it. I'm itching to get this knife for myself and possibly a friend too. Hell I think this may be a good knife to get my dad on the knife bandwagon.
