Yes sir, I used my band saw and you heard right......I did my second set of small G10 scales on it in one week, then went to cut a piece of hard wood on it and I could sure notice it had dulled quite a bit.......

Those scales are great. Very well done. Feeling kinda inadequate over here, though. I was kinda proud of my paracord wrap, but now I'm thinking green and black linen micarta might be nice... :)
 
Anyone else add scales to an Izula? I'm shopping one, and was thinking of using it as a platform to try my hand at making a set.

I''ll probably use wood to start with, and screws to make them removable. I'll probably bed the scales with epoxy so they conform to the internal shape, but use a release agent on the knife itself so it won't adhere to the metal.
 
getting some desert iron wood for mine - just need to decide whether to strip the coating first :)

also trting to decide whether to cover the rear hole or not

I didn't do it, but I don't think you would be making a mistake by stripping the coating off. I did use a Corby bolt up front to help the bond. Time will tell how it holds up.
I would for sure keep at least a lanyard hole, as I believe a lanyard to be pretty "handy" when using these small knives. Just my opinion.

well the misses did shes good like that ;)

was thinking more on whether i keep the large hole or not either way it'll have a lanyard :)
