Jérôme LATREILLE

Hello,
Here is my last knife by Jérôme Latreille. It's 12cm ( handle's size) with and old style blade .

Jérôme does wonderful work! The blade and the "bee" are great variations on the Laguiole's usual accoutrements!! Nicely selected handles!!
You are fortunate to have access to the best artists in the field  !!! And a wife with a good sense of humor!!!:D
Life is good!!:)

Master Cutler, Indeed!
Not only is J. Latreille's work beautiful, it feels good to handle and use!
I am honored!!

Missed this earlier one, a very cool bee, even fly ;) Magnificent work on that spring:thumbsup:

I've never quite known if the consensus in France is for Bee or Fly (abeille/mouche?) I think in medieval tapestries Bees were often represented and their honey making proclivities certainly are preferable to the activities of flies :D

The technical name is mouche and at the beginning it did not represent anything, just plain. The insect (let's be neutral) came later but other patterns were also used
Mouche is also the name of the fake moles (talking 'bout animal names) the XVIIIth cent. marquises used to wear on their face. No link between. :D:D:D
