J.Neilson Clip-point Hunter

4 1/2" blade is forged from edge-quenched W1 high carbon steel with acid soaked forge marked flats and an etched hamon/quench line.
Guard and handle pin are stainless steel. The handle material is original 1960's "Westinghouse" Rag Micarta with a black spacer behind the guard. This knife is 9 1/2" in overall length.

Are these used? Are those scratches on the guard of the Nielsen or just something with the photography???

Neither is used or sharpened. Guess I forgot to mention that.

Think it's just the way the light caught the guard.
Here's a better picture with natural light.
