Who is in?

Jackmandu and can't resist adding a Vex for 40 off. Muddy and Tan on both for me.
 
Order in. When I finally ordered a RMD CG a few weeks I ago, I was thinking it would be awesome if I could order a 6" version, couldn't pass this up. Tanker gray w/ bruiser scales.
 
This is what drives me crazy about these short runs. I want one sooooo bad but I know that as soon as I commit, the next offering will be a killer deal on a chopper. Arg! What to do, what to do.
 
If you've got an RMD, I'd suggest you wait for the chopper. If you don't, get the JMD. You really NEED to have one or the other. :)

I have plenty of RMD's so no need for this one. I will chill till the next episode..... The Basic 6 should show up next week anyway...
 
Really nice but I was hoping jack would have put enough in the tank to get infi
 
I have plenty of RMDs, as well; but I opted in on this one because - well - just because.
No Mini-Vex, for me, though - the price was tempting; but it just doesn't appeal to me. Once the Custom Shop is taking orders again, I'll grab another Rodent 3.

I agree, would rather have (and I already do) the Rodent 3 over the mini Vex. FYI, I'm pretty sure only the Busse custom shop has shut down ordering, and the Rodent 3 is a Swamp offering, so send Trissy an e-mail.

Well that stinks. :( I wonder why they didn't make an announcement like Busse did? :grumpy:
 
That one was going to be a gift; but it sounded good enough to me that I'm going to get it for myself. He didn't know about it, so he can drool over mine & not know how close he came to it being his.

Back to the topic:
I opted for green/black G10 over tanker grey for my jackmandu - that should put me far enough out timewise that I won't have to worry about funding. ;)

Hey HH,

Pics of your RMD collection helped push me over the edge on ordering a CG (black/tan, still waiting) and then I chose my JMD color combo based on one of yours, so thanks for the pics!

Off topic: The Cheness totally rocks, perfect for what I wanted. What a beast of a blade, even if it's not a Busse :D
 
No - the JMD is a 6" blade vs 5.25" for RMD. The JMD blade is also a (barely) shorter height at 1.25" vs 1.35" for the RMD. The handle is the same, as is the blade thickness
 
You can get G10 handles on the JMD while the RMD is micarta only.

I hadn't seen anything about the Swamp Custom Shop being closed either. Got my order for a Rodent 6 in on 13 Oct so just snuck in before the deadline.
 
I've found the RMD profile to be a great all around knife. Bigger, smaller, fat, skinny I don't care I will take one of all of them. The Infidu is awesome, if there was an Infi Mountainmandu I might just die happy on the spot.
 
The Rodent 6 is not a custom order unless you have modifications done on it-The Custom Shop is closed for approximately 1 year
