Jackmandu is up!

I admit to getting a bit frustrated there for awhile. I think many of the newer people do not understand that Busse sometimes make several variations of a model even before you get to the Custom Shop models. Magnum handles, thick, thin blades etc. may not seem like a big deal, except when someone gets a sheath after waiting and it of course doesn't fit because they did not provide relevant info and then they go postal on me and tell me how big of a moron I must be and that everyone who is anyone knows that all ASH-1's are the same. :D So I quit offering for many of the older Busse stuff unless someone asks and are willing to send theirs in for fitting.

I do like the current system Busse is running with the limited run offerings, I didn't know they were doing that until I had already missed the ASH, Trash, and BS runs. Arrrgh! Picked up the BG ASH-1 already.

Their limited runs makes it much more manageable on my end. I can get most things designed 90% before the blade lands, make some finishing touches and then send off to my die maker if needed. I have no problem ordering in any knife as long as it is currently available and not absurdly costly, to build a sheath for someone.

Group buys are fun, you get to make a lot of people happy at the same time. Depending on interest, the Chop House is scheduled after I clear the BS run then the SFNO then JMD. JMD is pretty easy since most of my existing designs for the RMD will work with just some alterations. After that we just wait and see what Jerry has up his sleeve for us.

Hopefully Skyler will continue the trend of offering up limited time group buys, I had thought he lost interest in Busse/Kin knives for awhile when he transitioned from Skystorm Leather to Patriot Leather his Busse/Kin offerings became less. I know he did not get a Trash1 or Battle Saw, probably a few others as well.

It does seem as of late that he has regained the intrest of Busse/Kin knives. I am sure if we keep buying his sheaths that he will keep up on these limited release knives.

As far as I know Skyler is one of the only leather sheath makers that tries to keep up with knife models so people do not have to send thiers in. What I can say for certian, is that all those who are getting Patriot Leather for thier Battle Saws will most likely become repeat customers....

Glad to see you back on the Busse bandwagon. Lots of great new offerings. Will be looking for your offerings on the Chop House and JMD. Now if you could confirm the CG SOB .187 thick vs LE SOB .167 thick and if the CG model will fit in one of your LE sheaths I would probably be ordering one very soon. Not sure how much of a difference 20 thousandths makes but I wanted to be sure.

Those won't be a problem to fit. Just don't tell me it had magnum handles after I ship it :D

I find it interesting that the page was removed completely from the site whereas all the others were marked sold out or no longer available.... Hmmmm maybe I'm just reading into it to much.

That happened recently with something on the Busse site. I don't remember which knife it was, and it might have back later with "No Longer Available" or "Sold Out" stamped over the picture, but I'm sure it happened.

I didn't figure those would stay up for very long and are bound to be sought after by those who missed out. I'm in for broke... again.

Anyone get dinged on their JackManDu yet? I really can't wait for this one. Was hoping by Christmas but don't think it's going to happen :(

The 'Weiler was up well before the JMD/Vex combo and the ding for that one has not occurred as yet mate. I would also be surprised if any of these are "in the wild" before 2016.
