*I was asked to repost the facts about a recent ordeal with Jaxurman by the moderators, I will try not to rant ... I will try.

I am not a moderator, yet ... if I was, Jack A.K.A. Jaxurman would be Banned.

The Crime: Verbal Abuse and Threats via E-mail & Phone.

The Proof: I have 5 e-mails saved containing profanity over a deal that didn't go his way and a 2 hour witnessed phone call between him and I that contained 75% yelling at the top of his lungs, the F-word (100+) times, and (1) threat of bodily harm. All over me not selling him a 9Z Surefire.

I have now heard of this same situation unfold with other members. When will this stop???

Can you imagine a new member coming to this forum and God Forbid their first deal being made with Jack?

Must we subject forum members to this sort of torment? Especially new members that are looking to become Gold Members one day? Just ignore him you say ... I would take this route if I thought the problem was going to get better, I don't see it getting better. Actually I start to worry that this person has some of our home & work addresses now.

Please beware of Jack A.K.A. Jaxurman ... please do not give him your phone number ... & think twice about giving him your home address. All the GOOD posts about him are merely him harassing members until they do so after a nothing special trade transaction.

NEVER have i made that or demanded that at any point in a deal , before during or after .many , many people have done deals with me and were satisfied and the gbu post were done by them on their own free will .you are a paranoid scizophrenic :eek: this post by you is a sad commentary on how lonely you are .no , i did not get the surefire from you , yes you did me wrong . made me realize how sad and pathetic you are .stop watching so many freddy krueger movies and halloween movies , no i am not coming after anyone . in fact if anyone will set up a fund , i will donate $1.00 to the ryan malpiede mental health treatment fund . you are a sick boy and you need help for your psychosis :eek: in time , with treatment , maybe you will be cured ;) JAXURMAN
 
YOU ARE JUST , A SAD , PATHETIC NOTHING :( YOU HAVE NO BASIS , TO POST IN THE GBU .i have NEVER harrased anyone into posting up good about me in the gbu . if what you were saying was true , then i "bullyed" what , 500 people or so that posted up good about me ???:confused: asked yes , forced harrased , or made to post , get real !!! you have insulted and belittled all of those people who posted good about me in gbu , your comments imply that - grow up .nice try , trying to ruin my gbu rep ;) those that have dealt with me know that i am honest , fair , and love knives !!! intense yes , serious , yes and i dont like those people who play games with me or waste my time . if i aint serious about buying or trading for something , i dont bother wasting peoples time . so for that am i the bad guy , i think not .
 
I did do a deal with Jack. It went OK. He did (as I expected him to) ask me, twice to post in GBU.

I've done deals with Ryan. The first long before Jack ever showed up. I've also had deals with Ryan that did not come together for one reason or another:p Will that ever stop us from making another deal,
not!

I think what Jack misses is that for so many of us it's not about 'the deal' It's about the love of knives;) It's about having FUN . Some of the most fun I've had on BF has been trying to put together deals that did not happen!

I really don't think there is anyone on BF I've ever made a deal with or attempted to make a deal with or talked about a deal with that would not deal with me again, anytime. I think this is true of most of the members here. Most of us get it .

It's not about your $100,000 collection. It's not about being a playa. It's not about being big time. It's about loving this hobby/obsession and hanging out with others who do too. It's kind of sad really that some folks just don't get that.
 
as lanny mentioned , i ASKED him to post , NEVER , as both ryan malpiede and wolfman601 have mistakenly posted as have others , have i made it conditional to doing the deal , demanded or harrased anyone to do so in gbu .in fact , if anyone has PROOF i ask them to post it .ishay himself can attest to me working with him to get my knife he wanted taking little cash almost all trade .i too love this hobby and yes i get it do i like the DEAL !!! yes , call me the gordon gekko ala movie "wallstreet"of deals yes i love the deal , but also i truly love the knives !!!believe me , if it was money to make , i certainly would not come here !!! its not about losing the knife , it is about honor and ones word !!!as my gbu post can attest , JAXURMANS word means something !!!not one person ever did i screw !!!my rep is 100%intact .as for the playa, pimp etc comments :eek: thats just me having fun , poking fun at the "haters" :D ;) JAXURMAN
 
well - my .02 worth on this subject....


i've talked to jack a time or two, he's talked to my wife/son when i'm not home, left messages, etc - he's always been polite and respectfull w/me, and my wife - just havent had any probs, at all

dont know the other individuals so i cant say what happened, can only comment on my own experiences......

have talked to him about knife values, etc always been fine w/me, even though i emailed him some q's about a mayo TNT i was thinking of getting last nite before i read all the stuff on the TNT trade that went south, talk about a coincidence lol (he prob thought i was busting his balls lol)

jack certainly doesnt have horns or anything imho, and i would deal w/him w/no probs

everybody needs to kiss and make up imho, if possible, sometimes one word leads to another, and things get said ya dont mean, or can be taken in a wrong way, etc

life goes on, and so does 'the days of our knives'

I closed that thread because it was a poll that people were posting to with no explaination.

I should not have delete Ryans post.

That was a mistake.

There were over 30 "you are crazy votes" with only 8 verbal posts explaining and this wasn't fair.

After hearing your latest responses hear and on the other post about Jeff; I too think you should be banned and will work towards that.

Your verbal abuse has to stop.

I feel sorry for you. :(
 
rick , how sad :( i disagree , i have always tried to maintain my decorum on this forum .the problem is when people antagonize me , talk and spew vile gossip and lies regarding me , try to provoke me .i think that many many others have acted far worse than me , wolfman 601 and melvin pervis are 2 that come to mind .when i came on this forum , less than 1 year ago , all i wanted to do was participate , sell a couple of custom emersons i had .enjoy the forums .IMMEDIATLY , one of the "usual suspects " tried to label me as a "bad guy" saying "buyer beware" . not cool at all !!! thru much hard work and honorable deals that i proved myself as being both honorable and having lots of integrity .people got to know me as a "man of his word " the "jaxurman"-gbu "monster " was created by the mean , cruel , unfair branding i was first given here on bladeforums . yes , i was a man on a mission , a man out to prove something , to prove the people who started these rumors were indeed WRONG !!!i dont see that as a bad thing .im not a troll , nor a troublemaker , nor have i ripped anybody off , its been proven to spark and to others im no dealer .i have never THREATENED anyone on these forums .i have not done anything but try to excell , to be the best . i really dont think i have done anything to deserve to be booted , banned whatever .i really dont understand your position . talked bad to forumites who talked bad at me or who in my eyes did me wrong , no worse than anybody else has , countless others who as i have seen have done far worse .if people dont like me , dont deal with me read my post , etc put me on ignore whatever .i was never given a fair chance here . i worked hard to be known as a good guy to deal with , so tell me , what is so terribly werong with that??? again it is not my purpose nor my intent to offend anyone , and when i feel that i am wrong , i will and do apologize .if for some reason , SPARK feels that i have messed up , i hope that he e mails me to let me know what i have done . i do not feel that i have done anything to be banned . again if SPARK thinks so , i hope that he would e mail me privately to resolve the problem . i respect his opinion .after all he is the owner , the boss ,respectfully , JAXURMAN
 
Why not let the people that have Gold memberships vote on banning him or not?

We pay so I think we should have a say on if he's banned or not since we have to deal with him on here.
 
Jack ... if you can, please clue me into why I would risk my own reputation on trying to stop your antics. To be honest this sort of stuff makes "me" look bad. What I can't stand is the thought of you pulling this Crap on someone new and them actually thinking it’s somehow their fault for it happening. For that, I will risk what little rep. I have to stop you from carrying on the way you do. I love this place, I see the people here as extended family, and try to treat people here accordingly. Then there are people like you who are just here to make a dollar and take advantage of whomever you can along the way.

I thought, like I said before, this was all going to stop. You were going to grow up and realize this place has more to offer then just a quick knife trade/sale. As we have seen, you really do nothing to contribute to this overall forum. What you do do, is take advantage of peoples good nature & as I have witnessed with my own Eyes & Ears, attack harshly when it is not warranted.

If you heard this persons rage over the phone as I did, you would understand my full concern. I don't see Jack as just a Troll, but as someone that is getting increasingly dangerous.

For this I will do what it takes to have Jack A.K.A. Jaxurman banned from this forum.

Only "Gold Members" ? Anyway, I think this one is up to Spark. I can not see anyhing to lose by banning him, except for a lot less crap to sort through in GBU. He has been a sore spot for many for a long time now. I understand why he had a chance, but I think it is time to re-evaluate. I can't think of one person I absolutely refuse to deal with who is in active particicpation here....well, okay. One.
 
OLE Jackie tried to trade me out of a digital camera a while ago, that I posted for trade, I was looking for a custom folder. I asked him what custom folders do you have that are worth what the camera is?
ALL HE COULD SAY IS (and I quote)" I'M JAXURMAN I have a lot of customs, that should be enough" :rolleyes:I kept asking, NAME SOME MAKERS!!!! Again all I got was "I'M JAXURMAN, that should be enough" after about 10 e-mails he wanted to talk over the phone. (I thought to myself, good NOW I'll find out what he has to trade) but all i got was more "I'M JAXURMAN" don't you KNOW who I am:rolleyes: (ah NO) I have a lot of customs, he kept telling me to look at his RATING on the GB&U forum. after about 30 minutes on the phone with him yelling in my ear I gave up and started to tell him "I'm TXLAZER":D (as a joke) I didn't trade anything with him, because i felt that anyone trying so hard to convince me that they are GOD LIKE-must be hiding something.:confused: I don't know or CARE if the guy should be banned, but he sure is some kind of a MAJOR FLAKE, BTW JACKIE I'm going to repost the camera for sale or trade DON'T REPLY please.

I know a few of the people that posted to this thread because they have been around as long as me (since 97-98 before this forum even started) and if RGRAY and Ryan say he's no good or just a flake then TRUST them folks, he IS.

I'm not sure if Jack should be banned or not. I have complained in the past that since his arrival GBU has pretty much become the JAXURMAN is wonderful Forum. I did do a deal with him, probably not a great deal for me, but it was one of those 'knife I really, really thought I wanted' deals:rolleyes:

I do know that his goals and mine are completely different on this Forum. I am not looking to come out 'ahead' on every deal. In fact I have told people that I felt I was getting over on them on a trade and repeatedly asked them if they were sure they wanted to do it. I've thrown in 'extra' stuff on a deal cause I felt bad, like I was taking advantage of someone. I think (thankfully) my attitude and the attitude of people like Ryan and Ira and Ray is much more common than Jack's.

What concerns me is that his responses to all this continue to show that he really has no idea at all what is going on and what people are upset about?

Has anybody else seen "The Caine Mutiny":eek:

addendum.....if you go to www.oregonknifeclub.org and look under the articles you can also read parts two and three....in each of the three extremely informative articles the main theme to me seems to eloquently convey the need for dealers and the service they provide to the knife world....in each of the three very well written articles jack alvarez (the author) refers to himself as a dealer

i have one question!.....is this the same jack alvarez who goes by jaxurman here on bladeforums?

I'm still not convinced it could possible be the same person. The writing on the web page actually uses grammar, punctuation, capitalization, AND it makes sense:eek:
