Jack's Random Tuesday Carry

That's interesting though Jer. You don't actually see many knives actually stamped 'Pakistan' do you (exceptions are Rough Rider and Marbles sheath knives)?

I'm afraid that sciatica has limited my random pick to the coffee table! 🙄👍

And my internet connection is so bad, I can't attach it at the moment! 😡Maybe later 👍
May your cup of misery soon be knocked off the coffee table!

I still pretty often look at a knife and think "Pakistan", and open it up to find confirmation, though some of them seem to be silk-screened rather than stamped or etched, and I have a quite nice Arkansas toothpick etched "Pakistan" small and faint in the middle at one edge.

This one has the nerve to be stamped "Gerber".

Thank you my friend! 😁👍

Yes, there is most definitely a Pakistan style! 😁 Some of those markings could be wiped off with a kitchen scourer! 🙄😁👍

Oh no! 😱 I have seen old Joseph Rodgers fakes made in the same region! They don't look remotely like Joseph Rodgers patterns though 🙄

Sciatica can be awful, Jack! 😲 I hope you overcome it soon!!

Random carry for today! Before and after pics; this knife had fallen into an easy chair some months ago, and I just rescued it, and will celebrate by carrying it today. Older pics show it before and after Potassium Permanganate treatment!! A Featureless Stag White Owl, I sanded it smoother before treatment!!

Thank you kindly Charlie, this is as bad as I've had it 👍
I've had bouts of it throughout my life!! I finally outgrew it, I think. I hope you don't have to get as old as me to get rid of it!!
I remember getting relief when I lost a lot of weight. . . . . . . . .!

I'm sorry to hear that Charlie, but I'm glad it eventually went. Perhaps I need to lose some weight myself! I have had a bad back since I was 16, but only started with sciatica when I was 50 or 51 👍

I've had a big heavy lock back, tang stamped Bullet Knife, Packistan with an image of a bullet. It came from a Conn fleamarket and was apretty good knife...so good it was stolen :)

Sorry about the back, Jack.
I had a brush with sciatica some little time ago (I'd have to check my chart). I don't know why it went away.

Thanks Jer, nice Kent 🙂 Sorry to hear you've had a run-in with sciatica too mate, I hope it doesn't return ☹️👍

Probably my least favorite Cub knife, even though it has the right shield.

It also has flabby action on the slightly worn main blade, and a nail-breaking short bottle opener.
Sorry to hear about the action Jer, nice-looking knife too

I think I only carried this #35 Forum Knife a week or so ago, but I guess that the way 'Random' works! :D Certainly not complaining :)

Forgot I had this RR Scout in carbon, but then that's what Random Tuesday is all about! :D I bought a couple of these to gift to the kids of friends, but they both arrived with quite a bit of vertical blade-play, and no snap. I sent one back, but ended up hanging onto one of them it seems (I think I might have damaged the box or something). I can open bottles with it later ;)
