This Vic Climber came to hand today It was gifted to me by Gevonovich , at least a decade past, and I often take it travelling with me, in no small part because of the corkscrew

I have a few like this Kinfolks, but this is the one I took apart and reassembled with epoxy, having carefully stacked the washers on a spindle and then thought, "No, that can't be right".

My internet connection is barely functioning this morning, hoping it's going to pick up later Chance dealt me this 8173-1914 pattern British Army Clasp Knife today, made by Joseph Allen of Sheffield

I have two of these, out of a bucket at a fairgrounds flea market. They were so shiny, I just assumed they were stainless. Not so, it turns out.

Made by Colonial, according to the guy who knew the guy.

I think I'll carry one today.

Another of this sort. They must have been very popular for me to have come across so many of them. And less popular in the days when I got them cheap enough for me.
The handle looks like Kabar, but the blade is unmarked. Somebody may have replaced the sheath. I don't remember why it seemed a good idea to dip it in white paint. Sealing the tang against moisture, probably, and maybe I happened to be painting something at the time.

I've cleaned it up and sharpened it since I took this picture.
