James (or anyone else who can help), are these pieces more or less flat/square/etc., and would they be workable with hand saws and hand tools, or are power saws, etc. going to be necessary?

Thanks

These blocks are flat on both sides, AND they can only be cut with tools designed to cut metal. Really hard stuff. If you have a tile cutter with water, that will cut it.
Hope this helps.

jim, i got my 2 pieces today. thanks for the quick shipping. they are just like the picture, and 2 inches thick. just out of curiosity, what the heck were these things used for originally? thanks, again

These are cutouts out of HUGE Westinghouse Control Panels. The panels themselves were about 9' x 12' one sheet of this stuff, this came out of the holes they made to mount equipment in. All of it had to be cut with a CNC machine. I was told that it was 2'' then I had them measure AGAIN and they said all were 1 1/2'' , but they were talking about the new rectangle pieces being 1 1/2'' not the original 16 pounders. Again, I repeat, I want everyone satisfied. Let me know if not, I will make it right.

according to my digital caliper, they were right at 2 inches thick. can probably make about 200 knife handles out of both chunks of the stuff...wow

Correction on Original 16lbs pieces, They were and are 2'' thick. Measured personally, all that went out were 2'' thick, and the remaining 15 are 2'' thick,
Sorry for all the confusion. Bad communication between my worker and myself.
