Lexi Dear, it's a real pleasure just hearing from you, but your shipping news just makes it even BETTER!!!:thumbup:
Just got my Dodo. Black crinkle coat with Tigerhide scales. Looks just like this one. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/888951-Sorry-I-was-drunk....?highlight=dodo I wish the tigerhide grain was running laterally (like the limited edition sfno) rather than vertically, and that the micarta had more contouring.
It came super sharp. Sharpest Busse I have ever received (out of 8). It's a big blade and great fighting knife. Light and fast in the hand. The blade shape is attractive and appears useful for stabbing, slashing and chopping. As such its a very versatile Busse. The handle scales are relatively thin and flat. After seeing a few of these, I really thought I was not going to like the grip, and its definitely not perfect. When you choke up on the knife and use the large choil - the grip is very good. With a normal grip, its fairly comfortable if you have a large hand and let your thumb rest on the nicely elevated thumb ramp on the spine of the blade. But if you do not put your thumb on the ramp, and just squeeze the handle very firmly, the pregnant section of the handle can form a hot spot. All and all, the Dodo is a cool knife. If this blade size and shape is essentially going to be the proto for the Argonne Assault Light Brigade series, then you guys are in for a real treat.
my guess is that at blade they were assembled with screws so handles could be removed revealing the Light Brigade treatment for those who wanted to see first hand what it looked like but maybe Jerry will come along and clear this upThere's been something about the Dodo that has been puzzling me, and I've been thinking about it and realized what it was. I thought the Light Brigades were supposed to have torx screws instead of the tube fasteners
ChopridesanRC51's Dodo:
And the Light Brigades at Blade:
Doesn't matter that much, they're still cool  But I thought the torx screws were so you could take off the scales and clean out the hollows of the handle for crud.
Just a thought I had......
