Received mine, so honest appraisal:
The Good: Edge bevels are perfect on both blades, has the toothy edge with a tiny bit of burr left over as others have mentioned, this made me very happy as my wife got me a paddle strop for Christmas, so in the evening while watching TV I happily sit and strop blades, just a little stropping and this thing is a lightsaber, I mean wicked shaving sharp, awesome! The blade shape is gorgeous, love it, and I didn't even notice when I was purchasing it that there's no fuller, and that's perfect for this blade IMO. Sheath is nice too.
The Bad: So on one of the blades, there's a long scratch going almost the entire length of the blade, weird scratch that takes bright light to see, and the Buck logo is cockeyed, and looks like the handle maybe had a tiny chip at the top and somebody filled it in with what looks like JB weld/gray epoxy, which would have been fine had it not spilled all over the underside of the guard and stuck there. I was able to scrape the stuff off for the most part, but it ate into the guard some and ruined the finish, I sand papered it smooth and can probably polish it out.
This blade is going to be my user so no biggie really, I guess i'm just nit-picking but maybe Buck can use the info, was just really hoping for that perfect specimen as I have been asking for this blade for a while and intend to keep and use it for many years, I guess maybe i'm being silly since it will pick up much wear in the years to come anyway.
The other blade I had intended to give to my son if the Mrs. didn't claim it, but it's issue is a slightly wonky main bevel that's pretty noticeable, takes a swoop upward towards the spine right before the guard area, the logo is actually straight on this one but that only accentuates the fact that the bevel is off. So I dunno, don't want to gift somebody with a blem and don't feel right selling it with this issue and it's not a good candidate for collectibility.
