Arrrr, good deals still left... but I'm at work... must... wait... till end of shift! (writhes in agony)

For what it's worth, I consider a 17"-18" Ganga Ram the finest all-around general-purpose khukri. It slices, it dices, it chops and kills zombies like nothing else. If I didn't already have a couple, I'd jump on this one.

Yangdu offers batches of stuff at these pricfes just a few times a year. I always tell myself I shoudl wait, as I averaged almost 1.5X what these are going for on these models, but can never hold out.

That Balance was a fantastic deal. All of them were actually. I don't have a Bojpure I don't think, but it's so close to the standard Bura hanshee that he made for a long time, as well as the BAS, that I think i've got it covered.

Were I sharking today that is the one I would have gone for though, that and the Gelbu.

Munk,
For branches- figure 1" through. For saplings, 3-4" through. If I cut brush at all, it is greenbriar, blackberry or honeysuckle off of barbed wire.

Looking at a Khuk for shelter building- just another dimension I want to explore. Looks like these moved as usual :) I will watch for next group.
Thanks,
Bill

Imalterna;
Many HI tools achieve what you need. 15" AK, 16.5 Chiruwa AK or WWll, BAS and Baby Ganga Ram... even the full sized Pen. A little longer and heavier gives you a much better leverage and impact owing also to more weight, but you trade off some comfort of portability should you hike a lot. 18" is about as long as I can comfortably carry in the field. You'll have no problem with any of the choices I've mentioned in the camp, as well as many models I've not addressed. Your decision is carryability and intent. If you get a shortie, you can go longer later, or visa versa. It's all good. You'll like them.

I think I will be lucky to just grab something next time aorund. Use it a bit and decide where to go from there. I think I have something to learn as far as proper technique before fairly pitting the Khuk against a hatchet-
Thanks,
Bill
