June 11, 2007 “Jaster” listed a classic Sebenza. I agreed to purchase it same day. On June 12, I sent a postal money order. No knife. No response to emails. I filed with USPS. He provided 3 different names: Bruce Wong - Min Seok Hong - Daniel Tien. The address he provided:

This is complete bullsh!t - Jaster, get your head out of your ass and send Mike his knife. I suspect his three decades-plus service on your behalf should have been payment enough, but since it was not, the money should have put you over the top.

Again, enough.

Send him the knife and put an end to this.
 
hes using a chinese name a korean name and a vietnamese name... weird..

Stupid me. His initial correspondence was Bruce Wong. I asked if I could paypal him and so he gives me one of the other names and then immediately changes his mind about paypal. Then he provides a third name for a money order. I suspect one is his American name. Another was perhaps someone he knew who has a paypal account but changed his mind about this guy using it. The other name - maybe the one he was born with. I should have known better. What is up with people? On the brighter side - beats getting shot at the ATM for $50.
 
looks like Jaster has decided not to make an appearance. He got some PMs about this thread, but decided to ignore them. Doesn't appear to be a stand up guy.
 
If he chooses not to respond I can't see any alternative but to kick him overboard.

Hmm, not good at all.
I did a flashlight trade with him about a year ago and everything went fine. Wonder what happened with this last trade? :mad:

I hope he gets arrested for postal fraud, a federal offense. Smart move getting a postal money order. Good luck getting your money back!
 
Has anyone sent him email? I know people have sent him PMs but he hasn't visited Bladeforums since the 10th (the day this was posted).
 
If you see him trying to sneak back in please let the moderators know, and if you see him on any other knife website the moderators of that website will want to know about it too. Thieves aren't welcome anywhere.
 
Almost 2 months ago, I filed a claim with USPS, providing them a copy of my email correspondence with Jaster. I didn't expect traction on the claim. Today I received a check from USPS for the full amount.

I waited two months before blasting Jaster on GB&U - to date, I've received no communication from him. If I am in error regarding this entire situation, I apologize. I put it out there on GB&U - and the need for transparency regarding these matters dictates that I provide this update.
