Good to hear that you got your money back.

I don't think you did anything wrong either posting about Jaster here. Two months with no communication? It seems pretty obvious to me that the guy was trying to rip you off.

Almost 2 months ago, I filed a claim with USPS, providing them a copy of my email correspondence with Jaster. I didn't expect traction on the claim. Today I received a check from USPS for the full amount.

Did they refund your money order? If that is the case, and I am not mistaken, that means that Jaster never cashed it. Once a money order is cashed, I don't think the Post Office gives refunds.

The episode is idiotic. Something simple made complex and time consuming - for who knows what reason. I send money. You send knife. Money or knife fails to arrive - you discuss and resolve the matter. Simple algorithms. No clown stories about broken computers, email limits and being too sick to log on.
