JB Weld for scales?

Anyone try metal bonding cyanoacrylate? Permabond has some specialty adhesives designed specifically for bonding to metal.

Careful application is necessary because cleanup is a bitch.

I'm closing the tread. The epoxies and resins available when it was last posted on are in the same class as the steels available today. There are so many better choices that JB weld that it isn't in the running for scales.

And, NO, 19 years isn't a record.
