I will second W WedgeAntilles suggestion for Lucky jeans. Although they're not "hard use" jeans, they held up well for me and they're very comfortable.Levi's aren't the only manufacturer of jeans. I've had much better luck with Lucky Jeans. There are other brands that make an as good or even better product and don't hate the 2A.

You took the words out of my mouth. Bomb-proof. These pants will last 1000 years. I love the array of pockets, and they're actually long enough for a giant like myself. Recommended!Haven't worn jeans in A decade plus........Once LEVI'S started spouting propaganda I stopped wearing them... I much prefer my 1620 & Kitanica pants.....No Rivets G2...
. One.pair.of Kitanica is around 12 years old and would pass almost new......Bomb proof.........
Heyel gigantor Any thoughts on those pants you'd share...

Jean rivets are notorious for scratching knives. Your scotchbrite fix is perfect - it turns scratches into a nice worn patina. Marks add character anyway.Over the years I have noticed that on some brands of jeans that the rivet at the top corner can come in contact with the side of my pocket knife when I clip it to my pocket. Which causes the very edge of the rivet to glide up and down the titanium of the scale causing the sand blasted finish to be…basically ruined.
Of course I didn’t do a before photo of how it looks, hindsight and all that, but it was a bit mucked up.
So to ‘cover up’ the mess I decided to just even out the mess and make it look more intentionalusing a piece of scotchbright to even out the errant marks so it blends in. The pocket clip has the usual snail trails from carrying it but those marks from the rivet were pretty ugly by their lonesome.
I have seen some YouTube videos of repairing the sandblasted titanium using sandpaper and a piece of wood to hammer down to make it look like it was sandblasted again but it had varying degrees of success and with this small area plus the fact it would just happen again, I opted for this to make it overall look better.
Have any of you guys and girls have this experience? I also had a Sebenza get similar marks.

Let me know when your Benchmade gets scratched up by your pants. What does the material of the knife have to do with it? I’ve had plenty of pockets get shredded in spots from slipjoints riding in the bottom of the pocket and Spyderco’s FRN grippy texturing leave wear spots where the knife clips in the pocket.
Nice soft plastic chew cans with no sharp contours to be found shred thousands of denim back pockets across the farmlands every year. I’ve pretty much been carrying them steady for a handful of years now and don’t have any issues with the knives wearing spots through the material until the jeans have worn out in other areas too.
