Jensen Elite Blades: New to me. What do you all think?

There is nothing to see here, I repeat, NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

This has gotten way outa hand...........you need to let Peter finish MINE, then jump on the band wagon. I am sure that is in the rules somewhere ;)

I know Peter, but a man has gotta protect his interests :D

Going back to the inlaws this weekend and takin my two new JEB's along for the ride, hopefully to use since I will be there for a few days. Keep your fingers crossed cause I love to use them blades :D

Greetings All,

Just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in..........

Peter Jensen and I co-designed my knife "THE FLORO".

And I just wanted to say that the quality and the workmanship of Peter is top notch. He basically captured all my thoughts onto steel, and have come out with what I feel is the "perfect" knife my style of usage.

What I like about Peter, is that he doesn't just make great knives, but his after sales service is fantastic as well.......MANY times he has gone out of his way to make sure that everything is to my "standard" (and I'm VERY FUSSY); I'm sure that it seems like a "curse" that he met me, I'm sure ;-)

If you want a great functional, using knife that you can pass down as an heirloom........then you can't go wrong with Peter.

I guess the proof is in the "using"......."The Floro" has reached places such as USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia.........some with collectors, but mostly with LEO, and Military personnel.

I'd say it is always a good idea to search the forums when you're exposed to a new maker.

At most times good information can be found and then one can choose where to put one's money for knives.

Just my 0.2 bucks...

Excellent advice!

Hi all:

I would recommend that any one who would like to order from Jensen Elite Blades should do so. The knives are excellent and Peter and Bel are top-notch folks in my book.

Best Regards,

Rich Curren

I've never had any sort of trouble with Jensen Elite Blades and have purchased knives from them three times now. They still get my recommendation, although for as good as the knives are, perhaps all of you should shop elsewhere so my orders get done faster.

Of course, my opinion/experience is not any more or less valid then yours, my sole point was trying to spread information, goo or bad, as well as you're doing.

No problem. Everyone's mileage may vary in accordance with their information and experiences when it comes to any manufacturer.
Your advice is very valid and I totally agree with it.

I have a few questions for some of the JEB EVO owners here;

-is one side of the blade flat?
(I can only find pics of the right hand side of the blade)

-where is the balance point on the blade?

-how much does it weigh?

Cheers,
-Trevor

Trevor,

Peter can do any grind you need. Some are chisel grind for left or right handed people, like my High Command, some are typical V-grind like my Water Dragon and some are convexed like my future Bushman. Whatever you need, he can do.

Hi cerberus,

thanks for the response.
However I was referring to the blade itself, not the edge.
Are both sides of the blade the same?(whith exception of the chisel edge ofcourse)

I'm a bit in doubt as to which of the following 3 knives to get;
-EVO survival
-Combat elite
-Tac Dragon

All 3 are very nice and would suit my purpose of a large outdoor knife.
I'm curious about the several options and prices.
I emailed Peter about a week ago, but no response yet.

Hey man, no problem. I will clarify some more. My combat elite and past EVO and current High Command were all flat on one side and chisel ground left or right handed. I will post pictures of my current collection with profiles of both sides. That was you will get a better idea to help make your decision.

Cerberus

Just got this from Peter.......this is what I have comming to me.

Unless I'm much mistaken I see some pretty blatant Strider knock offs . It's a bit sad seeing a small enterprise doing that to another .
