Painted the whole blade including the edges around the handles and the pommel with Citristrip and let it sit like that for several hours. Then washed it and the coating completely off in minutes with a power washer. Notice the decarb has a greenish brown look to it.

Sweet! Wish I had done that to my Burp first but I was scared- I'll try it on the next one- Infiweiler~ that will be a piece of cake to strip compared to that CBT~
Dude, did you drool on that CS TG on the X? That was beautiful- although not a LB, still, that was super sweet- that handle material was insane, almost looks like cork- Prolly some kind of burl but it looks awesome -
 
Honestly bro I was a little scared myself lol. They are such nice blades it be a shame to F them up. Turns out it’s really easy though. Took me a half hr or so going slow to make sure I got even depth across the entire logo. On every qtip I used the water side to etch first then turned it around and used the dry side to clean the area up. Then on to the next qtip.
 
Yes saw that CSTG and the IAD was shank-o-lushes too wasn’t it? Had a chance at them both for once actually believe it or not before Ruckiza scored them and if OP2W2 wasn’t in full swing at the moment I might have had the bawls haha. Such gorgeous blades really don’t ya think?
 
Oh yes- Ruck got the 2 best imo - those would be glass case material for me- that IAD blew me away, never seen one before, dead sexy- That's what's crazy is it seems like once every week or two I see one I never heard of before still- I could fall for that one big time. It also looks like you could use it for a hitch pin for a minute if you had to!
 
I think they are pretty rare. Or at least they are being held onto pretty tightly by those who have them kind of like the daggers. Only the second one I’ve ever seen and the other was going for $2,240 or some :poop: on flebay. :thumbsdown: But that kind of made that one seem like a pretty good deal haha smh. :confused::rolleyes:

I wasn't around for it but I've seen and read plenty - the only mistake was the name/perception - If it had been "Raw and uncut" or something it would still be an option I think. All about managing expectations and I think from the name those were too high - It's a shame, truly a shame.
 
You and me both bro...and thousands of others. You would think there would be a way to get the point across that it’s unfinished and uncoated. Still, the DCBB finish option now is close.
