Jetbeam Raptor RRT-0 XML

Do you think it's better to get a smooth or orange peel reflector? How is it's throw compared to an XP-G R5 light?

depends on what you planned on using it for, for edc task i much prefer slight orange peel reflector for the even spill. if youre intended use requires more throw i would go with a smooth reflector. the r5 has a more focused hotspot which gives a perceived farther throw but the xml sure does have A LOT of spill compared to the r5... done believe me? do a ceiling bounce test once you get your hands on 2 comparable lights :).

Question regarding the RRT-0 and the RRT-01. What are the main difference(s) between the two? I was wondering because I want one of those bezels and want to make sure it will match up if I get a RRT-01. And a certain flashlight store in ATL has the RRT-0 S2 version for super cheap, were there any problems with the S2 variants?

the rrt-01 doesnt have a clicky and is quite smaller. not sure if its compatible with the strike bezels or comes with an optional AA adapter.
i personally wouldnt get an s2 version to save $30-$40.... stick with the r5 or xm-l for the extra lumens. if youre not concerned with the extra brightness and have no plan of using lithium rechargeable batteries go with the s2 if you like. led technology is hard to keep up with (im still stuck with a few xp-e and luxeon led lights that are considered obsolete hah).

I believe the bezels will fit but the AA adapters do not- a Jetbeam rep confirmed this on another forum.

Thanks for the information, just what I was looking for. The RRT-0 XM-L version is currently hard to find and as a result I think I'm going to get the RRT-0 R5 version to hold me over until I can find one, along with the additional ti clip and strike bezel. You're a good source for light information :)

theres two places i suggest you stay away from... charlie papa foxtrot and bravo lima foxtrot. that is all :)

edit: cpf & blf are both excellent resources for all things flashlights. say goodbye to your monies & hello to sleeping on the couch... youve been warned lol

You might even want to take a look at the RRT-01. It's smaller than the RRT-0, although that will limit it to using either CR123a or 16340/18350 cells only. There is no clicky switch, instead the light switches on (and off) with the control ring.
