One more... I'll do the final hand sanding and buffing in the morning when my eyes are fresh. This one is already sweet, but it'll get even better tomorrow!

Thanks everyone!

I buy the mammoth when the order comes in. But to be honest I really don't like working with the stuff. I had said I was done with it but I had a couple standing orders left over

Thanks everyone!

Too bad. You do nice work! What about it makes it material to stay away from?

Cost, cracking, and stability. It wants to move all over the place and even the high quality stuff is very fragile and prone to cracking and splitting.

You think that stuff is fun, try working with mammoth tooth!

As usual I missed documenting a few here... But here's the latest.

A couple different projects this week just to relieve stress and blow off steam. Took some old Westinghouse canvas and made some 1911 grips. Then managed to score an unfinished blade from Bret Dowell to put matching scales on. Planning on recovering a #44 for a matching trio to carry.

Been a while since I got some shop time. My father in law passed away after a long battle with cancer and work has ramped up at my "real job". Decided to make myself something to get back into the swing of things .... Not disappointed with my cover choice!

Sorry about your father in law, Jordan. However, I know from personal experience that time in the shop modding knives can be very helpful in working out your feelings.

My condolences for the loss of your father-in-law, Jordan.

Those covers are very smooooooth.

Next was another Bullnose I did in Bocote with Blue G10 liners.

I've been hoping that GEC would use bocote on the bullnose for years now, but no such luck. I see this one was completed a while back, but well done sir!

Agreed on wishing GEC would do some wood covers and haft them rather than leaving everything squared.

Good news though I have a massive supply of this bocote!

I'm impressed to see how you can make such a beautiful knife in this very hard time . My condolences for your loss.
