Did GSM not say so? I mean, they funded the whole thing including your involvement, right? Can you show specifically how they are lying?

Yes it sucks but when you work for a company, generally what you do is not yours, it is theirs to do with as they like. This is what happens when you work for a giant conglomerate. We all knew GSM Cold Steel was going to suck and here you have it.

Just to clarify 100%. This Competition Chopper project was assigned to me by GSM while I was employed by them. I submitted several concept drawings and they chose the one in question. The prototype was completed and turned into GSM in October 2021.

So is it your or their design, legally (or both) ? For example, my patents are actually owned by my employer, that’s part of my employment contract. How about you and GSM ?

As an employee, you signed up for not getting any credit for your work. There were significant changes to the knife as outlined by the GSM rep. Hell, Nathan chimed in on like page 2 and said there were significant changes that he could see. You also mention helping gsm with their redesign of the shark lock, making just enough changes to avoid patent infringement. You saw them doing exactly what you are complaining about here. Did you quit immediately? Expose them for doing that?

Seems like you are complaining about fairly common practice in corporate culture. The company owns your IP and can do whatever they want with it. Sucks for sure, but it is what it is. If I were you, I'd stop wasting my energy on exposing this and spend your time doing something more productive.

I'm closing this thread. The original thread in the Cold Steel forum is still active for anyone interested.

Was tempted to change this to "Mixed" instead of "Bad", but decided not to because of Jimislash 's comment on YouTube, where he told Mr. Wallace that he "may have had a hand in the prototype, but this is my design. And that first prototype is nothing like this, at all"

Based on what I've seen, Mr. Wallace was the sole designer of the prototype, Jimislash knew that, and then doubled down and claimed that they are not similar at all. I think that was pretty disingenuous of him. This was my issue from the get go.
