A bad day hunting is better than a good day of work:D My buddy got one on saturday, so I still got to use some knives and butcher up a deer to put in the freezer. Hoping to get out again in a couple of weekends to add to it! Pics tonight of the new gear!

Dang, you make me look lazy :) sorry about your trip but I'm glad it had a reward waiting for you at the end

this is a philosophy I can agree with!
SWMBO gives me grief about not getting off a shot when I go hunting -- she has yet to figure out how nice several hours leaning against a fence post watching nature and knowing the cell phone is off can be!

this will be heading out tomorrow.

My pics a little late, sorry. Lots of cool stuff but I only took things that I didn't have or that I needed. What I did need was an emergency blanket, been meaning to pick one up and now I dont have to. The CRKT Eat N Tool was too cool to pass up, that goes in my bag for hikes . I also took one of the great braided lanyards that was in the box. Looks liek the box found its way to Eric and its off to the next lucky recipient. Great stuff guys:thumbup:

I keep an eye out for them at yard sales and such, they seem to be everywhere around here as well, I've got the smaller version myself but I like the fuller blade on that one

I recently sold 6 or 7 of those at a garage sale we had to benefit Hanna. The older guys like them because most had them as kids.
I don't remember the brand but I had one as a teen & cut my finger pretty good while carving my initials in a tree on a camping trip.
The finger got infected & swelled up to twice it's normal size and boy was it tender.
Ah the memories........

landed on GruntSoldier's doorstep this afternoon according to USPS.

I have the box right now. it's packed up, labeled and ready to go. it will be on it's way to tlovesknives tomorrow morning. Maybe I shouldn't say who it's going to. that was half the fun for me. showing up at home and bam there was a package stuffed full of goodies :)

I saw all the talk of old boy scout knives and what not. I hadn't seen mine in years. A old camillus version. I dug and dug and finally found it. it's nothing special and is well used but I loved that knife. I figured since I hadn't used it in so long and had let it sit unloved I would throw it in the box in hopes of finding a home where it will be put to use.
