:cool:Hey all,check this out......
I got an Email from Peter this morning telling me someone had paid for a JK English Pocket Fixed Blade for me & I could take my pick of the bunch!!
I was bummed about not being able to get one for myself :( so needless to say I was blown away!!:D
Actually, flabbergasted was the term I used in my reply email to Pete.:)

Anyways,I just want to thank the generous soul that made my day....

THANK YOU GRUNT SOLDIER!!

Also, thanks to John & Peter for the cool collaboration & John for this great place to hang out.

WOOHOO!!

Very nice thing to do, Grunt, Sir!

Okay, one more thing before I go, thought I'd dust off my sheath making before orders start coming in, someone also suggested pancake style sheaths and I hadn't made too many so thought I'd practice, I put up some others on my blog, linked in the first post and my sig line, and here

Still a few warts but i think i can blow out the last few cobwebs before my first sheath for an order :)

Final cutout just arrived in the mail, will grind those two out, then heat treat all eight tomorrow!

Someone just asked me how much for 5, we may have September filled, then again they may hear the price and say no, there not knife collectors/freaks but they're thinking of Christmas, fingers crossed!

I keep meaning to mention I have some wood satin, walnut, I think it might darken the wood and bring out the grain some, if anyone's interested I can try it on a scrap piece and show it here, it's the same stain I used on my Tin knife and the EDC Kephart in that picture link I've posted FYI,

I also have some copper lanyard pins (forgot about them) if you want ti instead of brass, I used it on the Jk riverwoods

Hi Pete -

I like the dark walnut look so if you want to do it I would take that treatment on the Pocket King and a copper lanyard pin. I really admired your RWC and the work you did on it.

I am sure Jds1 is proud of that one as well - that was his design!

no worries, I'll make it so :)

I really like the Riverwoods, it'd be hard to make that handle anything but comfortable, Jeff did a great job on the design, and John makes it to perfection, of course

Thanks again to you,John & especially GRUNT SOLDIER!!

Your very welcome sir. It's the least I could do. as much as you do around this subforum. always sending out beads and pins and doing gaws! I hope it serves you well good sir!

Even though I initially voted for the Rover, the Pocket Rocket (or Pocket Rocker) is my new favorite!
