Jk English Pocket fixed blades: Order and Picture thread

I'm liking the pocket kin as well,

Fyi, here's the stained wood I was talking about, pictures are taken in bright sun, don't knwo if that matters?:



This is a piece of scrap walnut that came form the same bunch I'm going to use. I did the other side half and half so you can see the difference directly





I've also been organizing my shed getting ready for 7 knives instead of one waiting to be handled, even the organizing is kind fun :)

I put the last of the money to good use, ordered the leather from tandy (hope it's a good kind) and leather dye and cement (i just use glue for myself so thought I better), several grits of sandpaper (although i have to stop by the auto store for the 800 because every diy store i tried went from 600 to 15000 and that's to big a jump for my liking,) sanding discs, an extra clamp to be sure of a good snug fit to the blank, pins are already, and thanks to Myke I won't be short on them, ah, s'all i can remember, feel like a girl in a shoe shop :)
 
I'll take a Pocket Rocket in 3/32" if you have room in your second batch.

Lol no worries. Didnt mean for it to come off that way at all! I'm excited that your digging it so much. It's the little things that make Johns forum so awesome. Such a great group of people that hang out here!

please excuse the mess, it is cleaned up regularly but it stays that way for so short a time I can never catch it with my camera

practicing my clamping :)

my new leather desk (donated by my mother in law who didn't want it in her spare bedroom anymore) took the annoying top off it because I kept banging my head, draw come sin handy to

and yes, those are Mykes leather landyards waiting for beads!

It's like the kukri thread all over again. Everytime someone posts I'm in here looking for pictures. Ky I bet you didn't realize when you took on this project we would be hounding you like a buch of kids asking are they done yet! Are they done yet! :)
